Nekros' Desecrate and the "Gore Enabled" option

It's been bothering me for a while, but I've never actually figured out...

Does disabling the in-game gore option negatively impact Nekros' looting powers by preventing the dismemberment and segmentation of an enemy, and if so, is it the host or the Nekros who affect the loot reduction?

Disabling gore has no effect on nekros desecrate

Disabling gore disables the visual only. It still has the same effects of making more corpses for desecrate to act on. You just don't see it.

according to someone i know that is German and thusly affected by that Setting, Desecrate works fine for them as both a Host and Client.
