freeformline
I understand the desire to project the player onto the operator, but "freeformline" (or worse, xXEdgelord420Xx) isn't a proper name for a person to have, so it feels weird to have NPCs refer to my operator with my username, or to have my username appear under my operator when she speaks during a mission. We can name many weapons, companions, and even our railjacks, so please allow us to name our operators.

Steel_Rook
Yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to naming my Operator and thus choosing what characters refer to my character as in text. Hell, I asked for the same thing in City of Heroes some 10 years ago. When you have characters with two-word names (like The Steel Rook), it really does sound silly in casual conversation. Yes - my character names are silly, even to me.
Jitsuryoku
At this point yeah... why not? I mean they allowed me to name an infested wall-mouth that nobody but me will ever see.... Might aswell let me name my operator (whose name nobody will see either) "NoobMaster69".... Literally nobody cares, but why not?
