In general, anything released or reworked in the last 3 years is not usable in Conclave. The only exception is some recent prime Warframes.

It's a shame, Conclave is really fun when played with people around the same skill level, but its population is almost completely dead.

If you're looking to farm Conclave standing as fast as possible, it will either take you time to learn how to play it or you can exploit/abuse bugs. DE does not fix Conclave exploits or ban exploiters [and DE like to pretend that Conclave failed simply because the community "didn't like it"], so you will find a lot of other players exploiting very heavily. The top exploits these days are:

Telos Boltace will ragdoll other players, basically spin to auto-win. [DE removed this ragdoll effect in conclave many years ago because it was obviously ridiculous, then they accidentally re-enabled it and left it enabled ever since. Despite literally years of bug reports...]

Tigris Prime is hugely overpowered due to a falloff bug. A single pellet 1-shots on headshot. Only shield gating can make you survive 1 hit on body.

Vectis Prime does 165 damage due to the same falloff bug. This is far more damage than all of the other sniper rifles.

Saryn has recently got a new passive that extends the duration of status effects. Some weapons will proc electric (Staticor) and then the other player can do nothing but wait to die because the electric proc ticks for too long.

A bunch of Melee weapons got huge buffs at some point (I forget exactly when). Many dual sword weapons do enough damage on slide attack to 1-shot everyone (so it's 2-shot if you hit shield gate). Some weapons have weird extra bugs, like Lacera which now does toxin damage on slams - which bypasses shields and 1-shots everyone.

These are just a few of the worst offenders. It appears to be 100% safe to exploit all these bugs, DE's philosophy on PvP seems to be very exploit-friendly.

If you want tips on weapons to use that aren't exploits, I suggest starting off with some standard weapons like:

Braton (All are good, even Mk-1!)

Karak (Stock does better damage, but wraith has a much larger magazine)

Furis (Mk-1 does most damage, but regular Furis is also good)

Latron (A bit harder to use since it's semi-auto and has high zoom, but does really good damage on health)

Lex (Great damage on health, but needs practice to aim it well)

Kraken (Great shield damage)

Burston (I find stock better than prime, great damage but a bit harder to use since it's burst)

As you get started, you'll see people using other weapons and you can experiment for yourself, but these are a good place to start!
