A much needed MR28 test Rework, Frost bubbles and !you.

HI firstly I'd like to thank you for reading this rage post....

Now down to business, There is no end of posts on here about the MR28 test where you have to throw Thermia canisters to damage enemies. Especially after the Eximus rework a few months ago. 7 canasters 60 kills simple enough, well...

Since the Eximus rework this test has been made a bit more complex than it initially should have been and while there have been work arounds using things like Banshee's Silence and Vauban's Bastille, I feel that this test and a few others need a bit of TLC.

Some ideas ive had are extreme to less so over the few months I've been stuck on this test. The Main idea I can settle on right now is exclude Frost Eximus enemies from the test at least until DE can decide how the Thermia containers should react with the frost bubbles. Another would be to remove or increase the decay timer on the capsules but that might defeat the purpose of the test. (Kind of like the early hacking MR Test that can be cheated with ciphers... Please rework the MR tests DE).

(this post brought to you by a Salty player who passed a practice run where no frost bubbles spawned and has been trying this test for months. Only for the real test after to spawn two after the first canister)

If I was getting a dollar whenever someone complains about this test I would be at least 100 dollars richer.

Banshe Silence/Vauban Bastile do not seem very helpful here.

I hate repeating myself so here you go:

(i can only add that the canister timer starts when it appears, NOT when you pick it up, so it is entirely possible to "waste" a canister without even picking it up - I say "waste" because it is just postponing).

As for eximus enemies, if they arent marked you can safely ignore them for the duration of the run.

You cxannot ignore a Frost eximus as it has a bubble that prevents the can from working. If the eximus unit is in a mob of enemies, then you have a bubble of anti-can portection that stops it landing. Obviously the intent when the test was developed didn't have such a thing, so now needs rework to cater for it.

Personally I'd say the can timer needs to start when you pick it up, that simple change would allow you to kill ny frost eximus, or their bubbles, before getting on with the challenge. Removing the Frost eximus type mightr be an option, but I wonder if the other ones like the fire eximus needs to go too as the time penalty for getting up after knockdown was also not factored into the original test.
