Necramech Farming

Hello, I am a returning player that wants to the New War quest I have a question, how do you effectively farm all the necessary materials for the Necramech parts and what not? I am confused on where to get the materials I needed to to built the individual parts that I currently have at this moment. Is there any guides around that you people could kindly link me through or something? I have no idea about most of the stuffs since it's been so long since I last played.

Dont mine or fish in Deimos, unless you absolutely have to (fishing is bugged beyond comprehension and for mining you need to switch to Advanced Nosam Cutter, because you will not be able to get certain gems eg. Necrathene, otherwise) . You will get plenty of resources from Vault Opening (Otak escort mission). Just spam Vault Tier3 missions and make sure you do the escort.

If you do any of the isolation vault missions tier 1 through 3 after the mission is done, there is a ton of mining veins in the Iso Vault caves leading out into Deimos. If you're in a full squad, simply leave squad after the mission is complete and you can stay and farm all of the mining materials that way.

Scintillants can be found in vaults floating around in the Iso Vault areas. You can go back to mother in the open world (as opposed to going back to the Necralisk) and new missions are available to take you back into the vaults. 

Also doing the obelisk in operator form can drop a ton of fish parts. 

Finally, pay attention to what other materials you need because some of them you will need from orb vallis and the plains of eidolon if I recall correctly.

the new war you dont need to own your own mech as you will be granted what DE called a rent-a-mech. Pretty much get a generic voidrig to use for the duration of the quest that requires one.

If your gonna farm up your own for general use then you will need to head to deimos that fleshy moon next to mars.
your gonna have to rank up with the entrati family an necraloid as need gem an mineral blueprints from entrati an the blueprints for the mech an its parts from necraloid.
if you have a neckros then you can use its desacrate to make a mech drop another part or another item used to gain standing an rank up with necraloid.
The isolation vault bounties are good to open the vault at the very end as gives a vast assortment of goodies cause of the fact containers can have random bits of materials needed.

You need damaged mech parts to craft them into repaired mech parts to make your necramech
damaged an repaired parts are tradable so if you have friends kind enough to build an gift you certain parts that would help speed up the process.

when mining for materials the cetus an fortuna mining tools each have better chances at certain materials but have to equip them seperatly as cant have both on at the same time.

Deimos fishing is abit odd as the fish can float above the membrane rivers an ponds along with be underneath.
The first fishing spear on deimos can only get the fish above, while the second one can get both above an below the membrane
Deimos fishing is abit more complicated due to the fact
~certain fish come out during a certain phase of Vome an Fauss
~be a pond/river or a cave fish
~might need special Vome or Fauss processed bait to spawn

When fishing on deimos i used wukong with a redeemer as using a fishing spear counted as gun so the wukong clone is forced into using melee.
clone with redeemer able to shoot the annoying infested that come to try an consume your flesh an helps keep you save. Only downside is times when clone kills a fish you were after

Ivara works well. Invisibility. Also an oxylus that highlights the fish for you requiring no dye is nice. You can also use shade but if an enemy is far enough away it will shoot at you

I've had few issues with either on Xbox, I spend a LOT of time mining and fishing on Deimos , because i craft and sell sets of built Necramech parts, refined gems and fish as a side hustle. Sorry to hear that you are having issues though. 

 

I recommend the Sunpoint Plasma Drill (and it's widgets) over the Nosam, because you have to buy the advanced one to unlock the extra features rather than upgrading the existing tool. Either the Sunpoint or the Advanced Nosam work on Deimos though for getting gems.

 

For fishing, make sure to use the Deimos spears or you will have a hard time catching Deimos Fish. They like to ghost through the scenery, so timing throws for when they are visible and not hiding in the walls matters (and yes this part can be a little bugged, as they can be visible 'inside' the scenery), and only the Deimos spears can pierce the Exocrine (the 'water' for lack of a better word) to get the fish below that level. Some rarer fish like Chondricord, Duroid and Myxostomata can only be found at floor level, and will need the Ebisu to get most easily. Fishing in a hotpot with bait and and luminous dye or an Oxylus also helps.

 

You can also trade the fish and gems from other players, or activate the Requiem pillars to get drops that can include Cranial foremount, biotic filters etc.

 

Vault running, as you mention, also tends to yield plenty of resources :)

For Heart of Deimos you get a Rent-a-mech called Snake for that quest only.

 

To do The New War you need to build your own, unless they've changed that with the latest update? The blueprints to build your own Voidrig are given to you at the end of the Heart of Deimos quest.  

 

The New War quest requires you to own a Necramech (of either type), an Amp , and a Railjack before you can start it, as all three see use in the quest.

Thats the case. Both work fine, just you do not get any Necrathene with Sunpoint. Advanced Nosam Cutter doesnt have any extra features. It is actually much cheaper than Sunpoint repwise. You can use Sunpoint just fine if you have a different source of Necrathene. Or just swap to Nosam Cutter for Blue (gem) veins. Compared to how bugged fishing is, it is nothing.

Bro, that is basic stuff. I am saying it is bugged, not that I do not understand the mechanics.

Bugs:

• Hotspots and bait do not work at all (yes, i know you need to be in correct phase)
• Fish do not spawn. 
• Fish do not respawn (after first catch)
• Getting stuck and unable to move.
• Spears kill fish instead of catching them

There is multitude threads about those issues in the forums, so it is not only me.

Dude, i already mentioned i build Mech sets, which require Necrathene. I get it by mining, not an alternate source, I exclusively use the Sunpoint drill as i prefer it. You also can only have one type in your gear wheel at a time, so hot-swapping by vein color isn't possible without a trip to the arsenal to swap out tools.

 

 

I have plenty of Necrathene that i mine with that tool that you are stating doesn't work. It might be bugged for you, but for me it works just fine.

 

Edit- according to the Warframe wiki mining during Vome increases your chances of getting Necrathene. News to me, but cool.

 

I have also NEVER experienced any of the bugs you list, with the exception of fish not spawning sometimes, and then you just find another spot to fish.  Maybe i'm just lucky, or they might be platform specific issues. Not saying you and others aren't having problems with Deimos, but it's not universal .

I have seen a few posts that suggest that the Sunpoint is more likely to find rarer gem types, and since Necrathene is Uncommon, it might get them less often, but i've never had an issue keeping  a stock of the stuff. It's usually the Embalos and Xenogast I'm low on.

It does. The Advanced Nosam Cutter has an upgraded detection radar (which matches the Sunpoint at 60m, while the Advanced has 45m and the basic Nosam cutter has none)  and shows icons on the minimap at 50 like the Sunpoint, The Regular and Focused Nosam don't show minimap icons at all.  The advanced Nosam and the basic Sunpoint are equivalent, but the Nosam can't accept the widgets for longer range and silent beam that the Sunpoint can. It is, however, cheaper, but requires a higher Syndicate rank to get.

really? whenever i tried to do the new war quest, it gives me a notifaction of getting a void rig. also sorry for the very late reply xD.

all good now, a friend of mine had some spares that he gave me with after he finished building his. rn ill be able to get my necramech in a few hrs. tho gonna continue farming standing for the Helminth segment.
