Update Failures

My trouble of trying to launch Warframe is that the window shows me a message saying, I'm not using the latest graphics card.
And yet I have an MSI 760 OC Edition. On an MSI Gaming Z97 with Intel i5.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and my previous OS was Windows 7 Home Premium.

My last two launch attempts have resulted in no client being started after pressing "Play" in the launcher.

And now I'm getting the dreaded "Checking for new content" stupidity.

I'm gonna bet I'll still get the no client stupidity even after I verify game cache AGAIN.

If you’re having problems updating the game there are a few things you can try:

1) Take a break. We might in the middle of deploying an update; try again in 5 minutes. Most updates go through *very* quickly but sometimes it takes a while for the content delivery network to replicate everything around the world.

2) If the update is failing because it is crashing, please send a bug report in to support (see https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/25-beta-bug-reporting-how-to/ for details).

3) Load up www.warframe.com in Internet Explorer to make sure it’s working; IE uses the same code that Warframe uses so it's a helpful test.

3a) Make sure the “Work Offline” option is not checked under the File menu (tap the Alt key if the menu bar is hidden).

3b) Delete IE’s browsing history under the Tools menu -- just purge Temporary Internet Files (you can keep the rest).

4) Bypass any web proxies your network might be using (we try very hard to work with proxies but in some cases they will misbehave and give you stale & old data!). Under the Internet Explorer Tools menu open up the Internet Options panel, flip over to the Connections page, and press the LAN settings button.

4a) If there is a proxy server configured, try disabling it.

4b) If it is configured to automatically detect settings try disabling this (it may be automatically setting you up to use a proxy server).

Note that after you disable these settings you should confirm that IE can still load pages – in certain restricted environments you have no choice but to go through a proxy; if you are stuck in this situation and can’t work around it please send your Launcher.log in by support ticket and we’ll see if we can see what the problem is.

5) Make sure HTTP 1.1 is enabled; under the Internet Explorer Tools menu open up the Internet Options panel, flip over to the Advanced page, scroll about half-way down and make sure “Use HTTP 1.1” is enabled.

6) Check your PC's clock -- if your date & time is very wrong it can cause certain SSL certificates to appear invalid and you will have problems connecting to our servers.

7) Run Windows Update. Warframe uses a number of Windows SDK interfaces that have been updated by Microsoft through Windows update so it might help.

======================[ NOTE ]======================

If nothing helps please attach your EE.log and Launcher.log files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Warframe to a support ticket: http://support.warframe.com/ -- this is essential to understanding what's going on.

hello, my warframe launcher does not update correctly, instead, it says " checking for new content... 462 mb" abd from 462 MB on the download is very VERY slow, is there anyway you can help me with?

This is just getting stupid. I'm either getting "Checking for new content", which leads to re-verifying files, which leads to launcher letting me hit play, leading to client not starting at all, and then back to "checking for new content".

It's a never-ending cycle.

I did that and it tries and fails to update DirectX components.  I already have the thing up to date.  It's just that either I can't launch due to launcher getting stuck on "Checking for new content", or I CAN launch, but the client doesn't start.  Re-verifying the files and re-downloading the update does not fix it.

Please attach your "Launcher.log" files, found in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Warframe in a support ticket: http://support.warframe.com/.

I tried what you have said and nothing worked so i tried opening a support ticket and then.. well it said : Warframe Support is currently under heavy load. Please expect longer than usual processing times while we work through the backlog.

(okay i have been patient for 3 days and will this just continue to happen? i have personally started a forum and asking people how to fix this problem.)

Once again, I have every single thing asked for on the FAQ and everything the admins have asked for me to do and still I am stuck not being able to update Warframe. I have been at this for weeks and the hotfix just today made my life harder. I do not know why your game has so many update issues, but frankly, it's upsetting and disappointing to say the least. I do not understand how the launcher can update the vast majority of the data, and finish downloading older data that would have made it playable before the new update occurred, and then not finish updating the new update on the final MB's (Which the magic death number now is 12.9 MB) every single time. I'm tired of this not allowing me to play and I'm tired of a lying launcher telling me the Update Failed and the download will "restart shortly" and it never does and the game never finishes.

1 kb/ sec for the launcher update, try and be patient and reach 52%,say's something like internet error timed out,try updating my other game and it updated fast, conclusion my internet might not be the fastest but it is good enough for other updates.

Ok, I tried everything applicable that Glen the DE admin suggested, but I after the Man of Few Words Update, I was unable to get back into the game. After clearing out my IE cache, restarting the computer, verifying the downloaded contents multiple times, I end up with this.

It should be noted that the progress bar gets to the very end for loading the updates before it goes to the above screenshot if that matters any. I run a Win 7 with a netgear router and a DSLextreme modem.

Update 1

I uninstalled Warframe, did a CCleaner scrub of the registry and browser/application files and beginning a fresh install of the game. I'll update when it's finished. It's gonna suck if I miss out on this event.

Update 2

The fresh install did not work. I've done just about everything I can on my end. The same old "Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers. Please restart Warframe to try again." Shows up every time. Looks like I'm going to be missing out on a Man of Few words. I'll just have to settle for the plot summary.

So im seeing lots and lots of people have this problem, which is, stuck on checking for new content.

If it were any other time, it might have been ok to wait it out a bit, but since its the proxy weekend and all, I think we need some love over here.

Note: this problem happened after the last hotfix.

I'll try resetting the modem but at this point, it doesn't seem like much will help.
