project_eulogy Posted July 8 Share Posted July 8 None of the riven challenges are hard. However, I'm getting really flippin' tired of how DE has coded several of them. Because anytime I get the specific challenge of "kill a Dargyn in Flight using a bow while using an archwing" it forces me to go to POE. Whats the big deal you ask? The fact I'll spend 20-30 minutes searching, exiting, starting missions(of all difficulties, even SP). They are REFUSING to spawn anytime I have one of these rivens equipped. If i'm there normally to do bounties/tusk thumpers, I'm constantly harassed and swarmed. Ive tried it solo, invite only and open. Ive had clan mates come with me and its the same damn issue. Ive even tried not being the host. This isnt a one time ordeal. This has happened every single time Ive gotten this riven challenge since the Jade update and i'm honestly getting burnt out on this type of Warframe "Feature". What the hell is this yall? I just want to unveil my damn rivens. so i can go play something else since I literally have nothing to do except an endless fissure(I am done with 100% of Warframe MR wise and shards) I have enough forma for the next 3 frames(umbra included) and over 50 free weapon slots and more than ready for any EDA/Circuit "end game" that makes us take random gear. The hilarious part of all this? is if I remove the riven and go to a normal load out, they spawn no issues. This tells me by coding logic, that the riven challenge is making them Not spawn. This game has enough headaches. This isn't even a "Wait Gate" that WF has made popular(and the reason majority of people experience burnout). So i guess i'll just dissolve the 2 rivens i got from Iron Wake this week. But hey. We got "free" cosmetics" and pride stuff instead of bug fixes and a seriously needed QOL focus update that has been needed for a LONG time. There's a few bounties that spawn them like crazy, and as soon as the riven challenge is complete, you can just leave. You don't need mission completion for Riven unveils. supernils Posted July 8 Share Posted July 8 yeah that's a rant. Riven challenges are everything from trivial, to challening, to almost unbeatable, and that's fine to me. I've just sold a Riven for endo before. Trogre Posted July 8 Share Posted July 8 This sounds more like a bug. I've never had a problem with a Dargryn spawning eventually just by popping into the PoE solo. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, but they usually eventually spawn. That being said, I haven't tried since Jade came out. I would try forcing them by doing the bounties (escort really seems to draw them out.) and if that doesn't work, file a bug report. There may be something that is not coded intentionally, but is causing them to inadvertently not spawn. I have seen other issues on open world content so I wouldn't put it past a bug of some kind. Anydifficulty works. Wierdest one I had with Dargyns was "Kill X Dargyns before they hit the ground while sliding" Spoiler surprisingly easy to cheese with Max range Nidus 2. So I can't say for sure. There are some riven challenges that does say kill stuff while in archwing. There are riven challenges that states use bow to kill stuff. From what the opening post puts it, there's a riven challenge that require using a bow WHILE in archwing. Just now, Thorham said: It could. There's the underwater archwing missions... I do remember cracking ones that say something about killing multiple people with 1 bow shot(again can be worded better) something along the lines of puncture bows and pinning people to the wall with 1 shot, but I might be misremembering and it was nightwave daily?
