We cannot believe TennoCon 2024 has come to an end. We are so happy to have been able to host you again in our home city and to have shared the experience On-Lyne (heh) with those of you watching from around the world. Thank you, Tenno, truly. There is still so much more to come this year, we look forward to sharing more of what the team has been cooking up!

Today’s Hotfix is small but has some key things we’d like to get out before the team takes a moment to recoup. We are also heating things up with the return of Dog Days!

DOG DAYS RETURNS ON ALL PLATFORMS @ 1:30 PM ET

Dog Days is returning today! It’ll be going live shortly after this Hotfix, we just need to make sure everything is clear post-Hotfix before turning it on.

Take a stand on the sand and get your Soaktron ready to rumble… Dog Days is back for another seasonal seaside slobberknocker! Kela De Thaym has the beach arena primed for mayhem, so grab your inner tube and let the Lob Blobs fly.

HOW TO PLAY

From Navigation, select the Dog Days Tactical Alert missions under the Event tab to be transported to a tropical arena that shifts from day to night. The Dog Day’s arena is a water munitions-only zone, which means there are no Mods, Buffs (Invigorations and Archon shards), Companions, or Abilities. Winning a match comes down to who can drench the opposing team the most (Tenno vs. Grineer) before the timer runs out.

If your Soaktron runs out of water you can refill it by passing through water refill stations dotted around the map. Another thing you will find at some of these stations are Lob Blobs!

Nakak Pearl Rebalancing and Rewards from Assists

The only thing that grinds Tenno gears more than Executioner Garesh are kill steals in Dog Days. Those woes are hopefully a thing of the past with these new Nakak Pearl Rebalancing changes.

These changes apply specifically to Mission 4 of Dog Days:

  • All Kills now reward 2 Nakak Pearls. 
  • Players who helped kill an enemy (but didn’t strike the final blow) will now earn 1 Nakak Pearl per Assist

To balance out the increased number of Pearls from Kills and Assists, Mission 4’s rewards have been reduced from 50 to 30 Nakak Pearls. (note: this does not apply to the first-time completion reward of 100 Pearls for Mission 4).

The overall change results in more Nakak Pearls for active players, and hopefully increased Nakak Pearls acquisition as a whole!

Tactical Alerts

Each Tactical Alert mission rewards the following once completed. We have also increased the amount of Nakak Pearls earned per mission compared to previous appearances!

  • Mission 1: Suplex Kubrow Glyph + 50,000 Credits + 25 Nakak Pearls 
  • Mission 2: Dog Days War Display + 50,000 Credits + 50 Nakak Pearls 
  • Mission 3: Dropkick Drahk Emblem + 50,000 Credits + 75 Nakak Pearls 
  • Mission 4*: Hellshell Domestik Drone + 50,000 Credits + 100 Nakak Pearls

*Replaying Mission 4 earns you Nakak Pearls for each enemy you soak to smithereens, and now also for assists.

Nakak Pearls can be exchanged at Nakak in Cetus for extra Rewards, including Floofs, Captura Scenes, and more.

Visit Nakak in Cetus, Earth and select the “Beach Toys” option to view all she has to offer to trade for your hard earned Nakak Pearls!

    • We received feedback that it was sitting too high above your Warframes, so we’ve moved it down to give you more flexibility using the Y Offset slider.

Does this contain fixes for things broken by Update 10 / 11? (e.g. Broken Railjack mission)?

to recap some of the highlights from others and myself from Forum posts from Hotfix #11 & #10

Bugs:

- Drudge units [Grineer Faction] still unable to be identified by auto targeting/melee

- Mesa 4th ability [Peacewalker] will glitch out randomly and allows you to walk at normal speeds but unable to identify or acquire targets to shoot even though the angles/degrees of deviation clearly is matching the abilities description (target is right in front of Mesa)

- Lavos cannot hold down their ability (Any Abilities 1-2-3-4) keys to change their elements if said ability is on cooldown which renders mixing elemental damage nearly impossible… the gameplay is broken, I main Lavos and its very hard for me to do SP now, pls fix it…

- Ash and Chroma (and presumably many other similar frames), so Ash previously if you didn’t have enough energy to “execute” Bladestorm you could still cast it to highlight enemies now if you don’t have enough energy it just greys out and you can’t even cast it without energy pool… Chroma is the same before you could change your elements even if you didn’t have enough energy to cast ability now it’s just greys out…

^- Updated: Recently have just tested Voruna and it appears she suffers from the above along with Lavos/Chroma/Ash etc and possibly many more frames. For instance, if on Voruna, trying to hold down her #4 ability Ulfrun’s, if you don’t have enough energy you can’t swap her passives, which is supposed to be a free cast (hold down key) same goes for just about every other ability that Voruna has. Please address this soon… it really is very broken and handicaps players…

-^ Updated: Tested and narrowed down the issue with Voruna being her #1 ability Dynar while casted will disable any Auto-Melee/Auto-Ranged functions, which seems odd since Ivara albeit more of a stealth gameplay styled Warframe will allow Auto functions during her #3 ability Prowl, even if your weapon is Loud/Alarming it does that, so really there’s no reason to handicap Voruna here, since all players would have to do to disable any Auto functions is simply click on Melee Button.

-^ Updated: Used to be able to hold down to cancel Ulfrun charges it is not available anymore, you are permanently assigned the charges until they run out which can become an issue when needing to switch to other weapons. Especially when using Ulfrun’s Endurance Augment… In addition, Ulfrun attack is bugged, if you try to block or do any other type of attack (if you try to do heavy attack or ranged attack, sometimes you character will have a seizure/epilepsy spasm and you won’t be able to move nor access any weaponry or ability (in SP you are sitting duck). Lastly, when trying to attack from stealth with Ulfrun, even with all the Auto-Melee/Auto-Ranged turned off, if you Tap the Melee Attack button, you will pounce on the target but immediately swing your melee weapon right afterwards breaking stealth (this is with every auto setting turned OFF), this basically breaks Voruna as she is quite vulnerable without being able to stealth kill and her abilities are not working in tandem as intended.

^- Updated: In addition to the above, if Helminth was used to modify any existing abilities that ‘might’ affect a Warframe’s targeting, it will effectively render said frames Auto-Melee/Auto-Aim completely obsolete/disabled, until the said Helminth ability expires. For instance, thus far, Gauss in attempt to make a tank, I used Helminth Eclipse on his #1 ability, and if I cast that in combat, the game no longer identifies targets, same with Voruna, if I use Helminth Eclipse on her #1 ability (which is effectively stealth), it no longer identifies targets. This is less urgent than the above but still quite devastating to players that have invested in the Helminth by feeding and then finding out the ability is completely useless afterwards, (kind of hurts ya know?) 

-If opening [Appearance Tab] you can click+hold any cosmetic helmet or skins that you already own, the ( ! ) info part will still have: this is a cosmetic item for [Warframe-Name] which you do not own. Even though I clearly own it and I can wear it, the listed platinum price is still on the top of the description, this is gonna confuse a lot of newer players… 

-If in [Focus] mode in Orbiter or if in Duviri/Dormizone and you start changing operator appearance, if by chance you choose any [Tabs] that scrolls downward vertically such as Voidshell materials or certain cosmetics and even colors, and you hold that key and drag it, then screen will freeze and you no longer have any input control to your application and the only way to reset is by closing the game and restarting it…

-Trying to aim and flying at the same time on mobile is incredibly difficult and if you had to hunt Orowyrm solo (which I have learned from many trials and errors), basically it’s nearly unplayable, the only sort of ‘acceptable’ method is to fly waaay above the Orowyrm and when it’s in range I sky dive and aim for the head on the first throw of Orvius Sling, sort of like a peregrines dive… you need good judgement of timing and distance, wish this process is easier for mobile players…

-While in Zariman or Sanctum Anatomica, if you are casting a lot of AOE with millions of damage, your game will freeze and crash very quickly, this is very notable with Gauss or Gara etc basically frames that can constantly cast will be much more susceptible to crashes, even if you have a good quality iPhone ProMax and presumably iPad Pro.

-While on the [Mods] tab in the Main Menu, if any other players walk into your immediate view and somehow they obstruct your line of sight, then your mods will become semi-transparent with chromatic distortions (similar to corrupted enemies) and display [ 99 ] on each of the mods… it basically makes checking mods or your builds or buying stuff in trade very difficult because people are constantly walking around in Relays…

-Cannot open mod or item link or share a mod link (which you could do before) when in chat. Any type of [Chat] cannot do so and trying to scroll in a chat to whisper someone is difficult as it will jump above or below the names of the individuals you tap/hold tap on.

 

Ergonomics and Accessibility:

-Slide to Sprint may have been a great idea but it’s poorly implemented. For starters everyone has different finger sizes and print size-signature, palm sizes, hand shapes, range of motions, and having a fixed size button is really bad for a smaller screened device like my iPhone ProMax… Slide Length needs to be adjustable, Slide Button needs to be resizable under UI, Gyroscope for movement directions should have a ‘drag and drop’ function to ‘Lock-Down’ the Gyroscopes’ sensing area (For instance a lady or child with smaller hands will drag/drop the Gyroscope further down on the corner of the screen where as a man with bigger hands may opt to drag/drop it towards the 3rd quarter of the screen, and may make a bigger square or rectangle for his range of motion may be stretching further than a child’s fingers…

-Melee/Ranged Basic Attack keys should have optional selection options to display it in combat at all times (even when Auto Targeting is selected), because sometimes we want block and we can’t unless I switch to melee and then, and only then, I can block, which adds an unnecessary step that, quite frankly makes it useless to attempt to block, Warframe is fast paced and this handicap truly limits what mobile users are capable of achieving.

-Melee/Ranged’s Alternate Fire/Heavy Attack/Block/Reload should have optional selection options to display it in combat at all times because like the above reasoning, if every time you wish to do a block attack combo you have to: #1 tap melee key to switch to said weapon, #2 hold down block key while redirecting your aim which is your gyroscope towards attacker, #3 repeated tap or hold the melee attack button. See how difficult that is for a mobile device?

-The “Info” (Operator Energy Bar/Warframe Energy Bar) and the Special Perks (Ivara Arrows, Lavos Transmute, Chroma Elemental, Gara Splinters, Saryn Infect, Gauss Battery, etc so on) there needs to be a consolidated effort to allow users to move these displays to different locations from UI and Syndicate Faction Special Effect (Such as Truth, Blight etc) these are filled from their faction Icon Bar, usually found on the bottom right side of screen…

 

Thanks DE for your attention on these matters and hope you guys give our thoughts, inputs and suggestions serious consideration. (I know mobile doesn’t get a lot of attention and coverage compared to other platforms but it is heavily plagued by multiple game breaking bugs and issues, please address them as you see fit in the near future, please)
