ZephyrPhantom
After recently looking around the forums, I noticed that there has been some talk of Lato stealth nerf occuring that reduced its damage. Does anyone know what the damage numbers pre-nerf were and why the nerf even occurred? I didn't see anything wrong with the Lato that would require it to be nerfed since there are plenty of better pistols out there (Lex, Bolto, Vasto, Magnus, etc...). taiiat
there might be something that was done inadvertently. since the single Lato does look like it's damage has gone down from the last time i looked at it. but! AkLato also has more damage per shot than Lato. might be exactly double. wat. holding two guns doesn't make it do more damage, it means you can throw more bullets downrange. EganMC
It's probably a bug if it's so, I can find absolutely no reason to nerf the Lato.

DE finally getting around to solving problems. Finally.

Rafarix
Yeah the Lato was originally 24 damage then got reduced to 12 when damage 2.0 rolled around then it just went down to 11 randomly. Gee what is DE trying to do completely phase out this weapon entirely or something? On a completely off topic note: it looks like the furis and the viper deals the same damage now 14. Wonder if anyone noticed...

It just seems like mastery is being made harder to get.

Well Furis+Afuris ALWAYS did 14 damage. It's only the Viper+Twin Vipers that got nerfed to 14 damage (from 16). At the very least, the V+TVs got rearranged in physical damages (compared to the F+AF) to "compensate". While this is still bad and a nerf (why not leave it at 16 total damage for example?), it is not anywhere near the nerf of the single Lato (and to a lesser extent the Lato Prime and Lato Vandal). Ribboz
If you check the wiki the vipers don't seem to be nerfed. Just a rounding issue with the in-game UI. Impact: 9.6 Puncture: 1.6 Slash: 4.
