--Puro--
Impossible to use Bow because you need more experience to use to become Tenno Proffesional Bow. I have Less Experience to use Sniper and Bows Ok. What Bow is good ? Tenno Orokin Bow or Stalker Weapon (Bow) Paris Prime : Good = More Damage More Puncture and 45% Critical Chance / Bad = Impossible to get 4 parts and Blueprint. Dread: Good = Nice Damage More Slash (To Kill Infested :D ) 50% Critical Chance / Bad = Kill Stalker to drop Dread More Bad = Stalker weapons has insane to drop : Dread = Easy to drop / Despair = Very hard to drop / Hate = Mega Hard to drop Bows are impossible to kill Zanuka and Lephatis Edited February 25, 2014 by UltimateBR
BrotherIcarus
I am pretty sure the Paris prime is better but I would not really know all the builds I hate bows so never use them. Edited February 25, 2014 by BrotherIcarus
razorbak92
I encountered stalker 10 times, got 4 Dread bps and no despair or hate. So your drop tables are good haaa. Anyway, Paris Prime is better (I use the dread but the Paris Prime from the videos I saw and from the people in forum I see is better).

Noble_Cactus
They are very, very even in practical application, but Gottfaust's tool places the Dread at #11 for TTK while the Paris Prime rests at #5 iirc (above the Latron Prime!)? This is likely due to the Paris Prime's 0.7 reload speed as opposed to the Dread's 0.8. Over time, this tiny difference will add up. Charts shouldn't be taken for gospel, but they do provide general guidelines for how weapons will perform. My advice is to just choose whichever you think is the coolest. Paris Prime looks ugly as sin in my opinion and obstructs my vision, which I don't like. Dead looks much sleeker and sounds better, and it slices enemies in half. But the arrowheads look like plungers. Pick your poison. Now, if the Paris Prime could use the normal Paris model, I'd be all over it. Somehow I aim better with the pointed tips of the Paris series than I do with the Dread. Something about how I envision the shot, maybe. If you are playing Nekros, though, I would definitely recommend the Dread. Bisecting enemies gives you double the Desecrate. I dont see the point of a bow Slash dmg oriented, that's enough for me to make an obvious choice Proper elemental combos will more or less negate the drawbacks of a weapon's physical damage type. Therefore weapon A > weapon B!"That's not how it works, mate. If you want to compare two similar weapons, give them both adequate builds. Your "mod capacity" point is not a relevant factor for weapon damage, since mod capacity only alters how long it takes for a weapon to reach its potential, rather than dictating the potential of the weapon itself. In this case, your point is entirely moot. That build won't work on unforma'd bows anyways, and both bows require the same number of Forma to use that build. Anzuul
The Paris Prime does more DPS in the long run because of the 0.1 reload. (Which you will never notice because everything dies in one shot anyway) Fully forma'd they both do the exact same sheet damage per shot. Paris P against Grineer. Dread against Infested. There is no reason to discuss which one is better. They are theoretically almost identical. P.S. Just get them both. (NSW)Omgwtfl9lbbl
Comparing two weapons by the specific number of mod points is stupid. Compare the two when they are both at their maximum potential. Nobody is gonna stop maxing out a weapon because WELP THE OTHER OFFERING STOPS HERE. In any case, I prefer the Dread. While I generally prefer Puncture over Slash since the negative to shields really isn't noticeable when you're running a double toxic build, and Puncture is vastly superior when it comes to actually smacking a heavy Grineer compared to Slash, the Dread procs Slash status a LOT, which does amazing damage. Each tick of Slash damage only does 35% of your raw damage, but from what I've seen it calculates it off of your raw damage BEFORE armor is factored in, and AFTER headshot/critical multipliers. This means you can headshot crit something, and even if it has ridiculous armor, your bleed procs will still do absurd damage to it. I remember how even after I recently Forma'd a bow and I was in a Survival with Napalms only taking ~500 per headshot crit, I could still easily one shot them with a single Slash proc to the head. With how often the Dread procs Slash, this IMO more than makes up for it when it comes to very high level mobs, where it starts taking more than one headshot to kill. Bane + Slash + Headshot + Proc = Give the Grineer a taste of their own medicine. ^ The reason I prefer the Dread. That and the design of the bow. But the difference is so minimal 2 me personally that I just went with the one I liked more for aesthetics. I'm a sucker for high bleeds..
