Tennocyte Warframe, Event To Bring It Forward

I think it would be a nice variation to have an event which can bring forward a new Warframe - one which has a stabilized technocyte virus.

The Orocyte

Orocyte is a sane version of the Technocyte virus, which can be more safely controlled and merged with technology.

A huge Orokin compound has been found cloaked in space. Orokin went through great lengths to hide it, but since then the cloaking system became defective and is leaking a signature.

It looks like both the Grineer and the Corpus are already en route to the compound, and the Tenno have to catch up and prevent them to get major tech breakthroughs from this discovery.

It's a grand event which should bring forward a new warframe and grineer/corpus weapons with the Orocyte (stabilized technocyte) virus.

It is hypothesized that upon trying to create the Orocyte (just a baptism name by the Lotus), as a basis for a new type of Bioframe-Warframe, the Orokin may have had a participation on the creation of the Technocyte virus of the Infested as a failed experiment, and a catastrophic biohazard containment failure broke it free creating the infested.

Phase 1

Assortment of Spy, Interception and steal data from planets both Corpus and Grineer to build navigation keys to reach the facility. The key is expensive to build, but is permanent.

Phases 2-3-4

Upon reaching the facility, a map of access nodes is available like the several levels of one planet, shaped like a layered onion with several ways to reach the center. A power play is in place between factions to take control of the nodes.

The twist is that in this map Tenno may gain control of nodes too, instead of just playing balance between Grineer/Corpus. All factions will always try to take over other factions nodes though. Players would constantly have to defend their nodes or lose access to deeper layers. If the player community can completely eradicate a faction, it won't invade again.

For each faction completely eradicated from the map, the whole community will have access to one weapon themed for the faction eradicated and be rewarded. Also: first faction to be eradicated gives a Forma as a reward, second one gives an Orokin Catalyst, Third gives an Orokin Reactor. It will not be possible to eradicate the void corrupted.

Also, if a faction is completely eradicated, the new weapon of that faction will be available in the Dojo. Otherwise, it will only be available as a rare drop on Void, Derelict, or Nemesis (Stalker, G3, Harvester) drops.

Phase 2

The outer layers are controlled by either Corpus or Grineer.

Phase 3

The middle layers are controlled by infested.

Phase 4

The inner layers are controlled by Orokin.

Phase 5

The deepest level though will have a hard mission like a boss survival or something more interesting. Depending on the player's score, several rewards can be achieved:

1st reward: Blueprint for the new warframe, and its helmet, chassis and system.

2nd reward: Set of event, rare mods.

3rd reward: Event badge.

New Warframe: The Tennocyte

(for a lack of a better name)

Merging the stable virus with Tenno technology enabled the Lotus to create a new kind of warframe.

Tennocyte Warframe Powers:

1) Spontaneous combustion: Causes an uncontrollable chemical chain reaction which greatly damages target. If enemy dies, it explodes damaging other enemies around it. Higher levels increase damage and radius. Damage to other enemies is based on killed target's health. If those enemies die, they also explode, but do not spread the chained explosion.

(Inspired by exploding infested)

2) Liquify: Warframe body becomes oozy, causing him to move faster, take less damage and do melee attacks faster. Each level increases speed by 12.5% for up to 50% faster walking/running/jumping/parkour speed. Damage is cut by 50% incrementally (thus 50%/75%/87.5%/93.75%) Melee attacks take 12.5%~50% less time to perform. Lasts for 8/16/24/32 seconds.

Looks: warframe grid mesh should be made invisible but work in-game like a force-field quasi-container, and a liquid-oozy particle system should be modeled after its shape, ebbing and flowing leaving short-lived particles where it moves. Ooze particle system should inherit colors from player's appearance, have an oozy syandanna-like streak if the player is using one. Should have a glow according to player's energy color too.

3) Contagion: permanently mind controls 2-8 enemies to attack other enemies, like the radiation proc. Controlled enemies are affected by tenno team helping powers and auras i.e. healing will also heal the controlled enemies. Can only cast if number of controlled enemies is below skill level. Controlling one leader counts as controlling 2 enemies. Affects enemies starting from the most powerful with least damage to weakest with lowest damage.

4) Molecular unbonding - Upon activation, the warframe spreads the virus in a cloud centered on him. Cloud moves with the warframe. Enemies inside this cloud will have their armor and damage reduced by 1%/2%/3%/4% per second inside the cloud. Lasts for 30 seconds.

Should look like a bunch of those swarm-wasps which appear on infested levels, colored to player's energy, or something cooler.

After the Event

Either this Orokin Lab will be a permanent thing in the map, and the warframe pieces can be acquired there, or it can be made available in the Clan Tech, either in the Tenno Lab, or in a Tennocyte Lab where new stuff which melds Tenno Technology wit the Tennocyte virus show up.

One problem with this is the defining of the technocyte virus and its connection to the tenno, as my perspective is that like Hayden Tenno from Dark Sector the current Warframes/Tenno are Technocyte infected like Hayden Tenno was. Which to me explains how insanely skinny some of them are like Nekros and Oberon

It has been denied that it is the same universe, but no other information and the inspiration is apparent, i think creating that definition for a specific warframe is also defining lore that has yet to be defined.

edit: and what he said ^
