Melgrin Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Hi there.Just launched a french version of Warframe and went over a solar rail conflict for a dark sector.I've been given the choice between : "jouer en tant que passager" or "jouer en tant que challenger". It means : "play as a [aircraft/train/car] passenger" or "play as a challenger"... Which is quite wrong, at least the first one. Occupant cannot be translated with "passager" in this context. I suggest : "Soutenir la faction établie" and "Soutenir les challengers" Which translates into : "Support the established faction" and "Support the challenger", which would be much, much more idiomatic in french. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that "prétendant" would be a good alternative to "challenger" wich is also used pretty generally in french. Just my 2 credits. It seems perfectly correct :) perhaps not the most idiomatic, but one cannot misunderstand the meaning of these translations. I do agree.
