trez-
I've been trying to enable physx in warframe for a while. Nothing I'm doing seems to be working and there doesn't appear to be a solution that works for me. Even the option to show the physx visual indicator in the control panel shows that warframe is running physx through my cpu even when it isn't supposed to be doing that. - I have selected my gtx 770 for physx calculations in the nvidia control panel - I have reinstalled my graphics drivers - I have tested in 64 bit and 32 bit I might be missing something but I feel like I've done everything. My computer setup is: CPU: AMD FX-9370 4.4GHz 8-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Superclocked ACX Video Card Idk what's wrong. Please send help?
DE_Js
One small detail, if you upgrade or reinstall your drivers, you might have to reboot your computer else the PhysX effect wont initialize properly.
Aggh
Did you do a clean install of your drivers?

JudgeDreddX
i have try many things too, to run the game in max settings but there are still crashes. I have a gtx 770, i5-4670k, 16gb ram... so the hardware are not on the limit... Yesterday i have open a ticket about that (have upload the log and dxdiag) and have take a look in the logfile. I have seen that there are errors with dx11 and PhysX on my system and turn them off for testing. First turned off the PhysX - still crashes Then turn off both dx11 and PhysX - playing over 40 min surv on eris (dark sector) without a crash ! after that i want to make another try with dx11 off and physX on - crashed again ! so i have turned it off and can play the same surv again without any crashes. DE_Js
trezhur, ok, so normally after a reboot you should be able to see the PhysX Effects. If you still have the problem, can you forward me your EE.log ? You can usually find it at C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Warframe\EE.log
therandall
Hi, Can I share the same problem here? I have rebooted numerous times and still no Physx. Just upgraded to a Nvidia 560 Ti.
DE_Js
Also, check that the recommended PhysX processor is Auto-select or GPU in the NVidia Control Panel
Letter13
Don't mean to butt in, but you can grab the latest PhysX software here. Also as Js recommended, make sure the PhysX settings in the Nvidia control panel are set to the GPU (if it's set to auto select, it may be auto selecting your CPU for whatever reason). (this is my laptop, but in that dropdown menu it should show "Auto-Select", "CPU" and your GPU; make sure it's set to your GPU)
Stormandreas
You need DirectX11, and to enable it's use on the launcher. It's a simple fix, no need using fancy software.
trez-
So I manually uninstalled all of my graphics drivers and then did another clean installation + reboot. It's fixed now :) Thanks for all the responses!

TheGHOSTyA
Basilb try to do rhino stomp, if the enemies which fly up but didnt die are generating particles which are pouring out you have physx. You can also watch some comparisons on youtube. Physx foes only particle effects in warframe.
Schweinekaramell
I have the same problem here with my GTX 570. In past I always played with PhysX enabled in Launcher, but since this option was moved from Launcher to display settings ingame, I can't enable it. I also tryed to remove my display driver, restarted Windows, let Windows install the newest driver automatically and rebooted again, but it's still disabled. In NVIDIA Control Panel I set PhysX to my GPU. Schweinekaramell
Edit: I solved this problem now: - blocked all internet connection with firewall - uninstalled the driver in control panel - restarted PC - used CCleaner (cleaner and registry) - installed driver version 334.89 - restarted PC - allowed internet connection - launch Warframe, PhysX was enabled now Edited April 28, 2014 by Schweinekaramell
aim4it
CC's registry cleaner doesn't touch any of the video components registry, its designed for surface cleaning, broken shortcuts, unused DLLs, and COMs. But it has no way to tell valid video component registration from and invalid one. If using Nvidia drivers use the clean install flag on the installer during component selection. For ATI you may have to download 3rd party cleaner. Schweinekaramell
I used the clean install flag but it doesn't resolved the problem. Are you sure that CCleaner doesn't touch anything of the video component entries in registry? Only using CCleaner, blocking all internet connections and installing the driver manually resolved the problem for me. Don't know, maybe the 1st or 2nd wasn't necessary.
