Has Transmutation Been Fixed?

Question

It's been a while since I actually tried using it because I remember it was an un-rewarding credit sink.

Has that actually changed, and transmutation has become a worthwhile way to get rare mods, or am I still going to put in 4 rare mods and a lot of credits only to get uncommon ones out?

You are still entirely wont to fuse 4 rares and get a Point Strike or such.

No matter how you slice it, you're getting negative returns in the long run, but you still have a shot to transmute any mod save Primed Chamber, to include Nightmare and Corrupted mods. The first two mods I transmuted were Barrel Diffusion and Natural Talent, so sometimes the system is kind like that.

I've got Sure Footed, Rage and Quick Thinking in a row some time ago, and got two rare stances last week...

Need more be said?

*edit*

Actually yes because Casinos are required to disclose their odds to regulatory agencies. DE deliberately hides those with encryption.

Wish it was uncommon ones, earlier today I transmuted 4 rares and got Fast Hands...

Well ,the other day I got Crimson ''fracking'' Dervish from transmutation. I transmuted about 15 times using rare mods only. I got Master Thief, Sure Footed , Life Strike,Grim Fury, 3  consecutive Redirections, and some other minor mods.

Today ,I tried again 5 or 6 times.Only garbage.

The thing that bugs me the most,is when it rewards the same mod you transmuted. It should be a filter to prevent that.

15 full rare transmutations is well over half a million credits, why do you keep doing it?

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put that function in the game the way it is, but I hate it with a passion.  It clearly wasn't designed for players like you and me.  it was apparently designed for players that have been playing for so long they've likely accumulated a practically infinite number of credits and have over 900 duplicates of nearly every mod, so they can just use that function with each update and get all the mods they need without farming hours upon hours of missions to find them like everyone else does, then they can act all smug and rub it in everyone's faces (okay, I'm obviously going over board with this, but seriously).  it's in dire need of a re-work.

what it should do instead of devouring credits and 4 perfectly good mods and crapping out 1 random mod that you have little need of in most cases, is when you select 4 mods you get a view of the group of mods that you get to choose 1 of.  the selection of the mod choices could depend on mod type and rarity or something like that.  There needs to be some kind of recipe for transmutation (like put in these 4 glaive mods and get gleaming talon or something like that), otherwise it shouldn't be called transmutation, because that would imply we have some control over what it's going to be in some way.

Hi. Just want to add my two cents.

Transmuted another 1 mil credits worth recently and found

1) Crimson Dervish (my third one)

2) Tranquil Cleave (first one)

3) Shield Flux (first one)

4) Life Strike (first one)

and a whole bunch of common and rare junks

But it was worth it for the 4 mods above.

I highly recommend you try it.

For every rare mod that pops up, 4-5 common mods are transmuted from rares. So, its better so save up a whole bunch of credits and chaff rares to transmute all at one shot.

Transmutation is not "broken"  It's working just the way it's supposed to work.  Transmuting is not intended to be the alternative to farming, it's supposed to be gambling.

If you want easy or fast answers, pay money for platinum.  Otherwise, Warfarm is about ninjas in space farming with machine guns.
