CedarDpg
Ok, so I've noticed the pattern of Weapon X being single-handed and AKWeapon X being double-handed. Is there a reason that there's Furis and AFuris versus AKFuris? Is the AK supposed to be short for Avtomat Kalashnikova i.e. AK-47, etc? Or is it something else in the Warframe world? StinkyPygmy
"Ak" just means "Akimbo". Another word for duel welding a weapon. Hence, Akfuris.
(PSN)CrimsonShinku
"Ak" just means "Akimbo". Another word for duel welding a weapon. Hence, Akfuris. it's Afuris however, not AKfuris

(PSN)Bobtm0
I've always somewhat assumed/guessed that the AK was in reference to the whole use of the term "akimbo" to refer to dual wielding guns. As for why the AFuris doesn't follow this trend, I honestly couldn't tell you. Probably just an oversight or mistake. AK is utilized when a weapon is Tenno. Akbolto Twin is for Grineer doubles. Twin Vipers Dual is used when it's a Corpus sidearm pair. Dual Cestra Edit; It just sprung up in my memory that the AkBronco was actually called Dual Broncos a long time ago. So yeah, just chalk it up to a minor mistake that nobody has bothered fixing. Edited June 29, 2014 by (PS4)Bobtm0
Seele
Either someone forgot to press the K key one sleepy Canadian morning or they just thought "Afuris" sounded better. Either way we all know it denotes the dual wield trait.
CedarDpg
Ah, akimbo. Makes sense. Haha, yeah, basically was wondering if it was a typo or something mainly.
