(Open/ic) The Distress Call

The poison cloud choked up Larche for a second but his eyes were still clear enough to swing the machete at Mirari's face.

 

The Three sentinels could sense the signs of battle they were almost at there at the conflict.

The machete made contact, however it did little more than create a scratch across the faceplate.

Halcyon'a antitoxin came into effect and he followed through with the swings, not about to be tripped up by another blast. The Zorens slammed into Mirari's armor, sweeping (her? His? Sorry I get confused, I'll just say it's a guy from now on, Beati being female) feet out from under him, the Zoren hitting the grineer's neck also hit armor, but slammed him to the ground.

(I'm making sure I'm doing this right, I'm going to say what Halcyon is doing, and give you a chance to react, if you do something other than react to it, Halcyon will follow through with it, resulting in some hurt for your guys, but I'll make sure he doesn't one shot them)

Halcyon held up the Zoren for the final hit, the killing blow, but his antitoxin mod was maxed and still not perfect, he noticed his walrus draining and flipped back to Sigma, dropping a health plate and letting the Raksa Kubrow activate it's ability to recharge his shields. It worked, but only slightly, bringing his shields less than halfway to their massive quantities(He's at about 400 shields and 390 health, after the effects of the toxin.) Halcyon pointed at the Vectis across the room, and Sigma nodded racing to retrieve the weapon. Halcyon let the health plate on the floor restore his health, and he charged forward once again. Sliding and flipping into the air, aiming his Zorens to slam down on the Attica wielder.

(There see? You have a variety of options to stop Halcyon from utterly destroying your character at this point, I'm gonna assume that he got up and is ready to move, otherwise...)

Mirari used his disabled Attica to block the attack, resulting in the Attica's complete destruction. Mirari then grabbed his last explosive bolt and squashed the end resulting in an explosion that Mirari used to send himself down the hallway and away from the Tenno. He then git up and began running down the hallway, his armour now heavily cracked and damaged due to all the close ranged explosives.

EAmorr reacted with her hysteria ability and her dark red energy claws appeared on her hands. She began slashing at the grineer female the entire time screaming insults that were both tenno and grineer. Soon the valkyr began to lose ground and she was cornered where she used half of her shields to create a radial discharge which momentarily stunned her attacker. She rolled out of the reach of the grineer and quickly ducked around a crate.

"Eris, send them all now." Her ship's AI followed her orders and released all four of EAmorr's kubrows and her one deathcube into the galleon.

Beati had untangled her whip and threw the Glaive towards the Dethcube. She then began swinging her whips infront of her, staying her ground on the defensive.

Meanwhile the Volt began to get up, the voices in his head getting stronger and louder. "Tenno... your kin... betrayers... obey". The stomping of boots on metal could be heard getting louder and closer as the numerous Grineer platoons attracted by the explosions began converging around the Tenno's position.

Halcyon slid back, gritting his teeth against another explosion. He kneeled as his health nearly reached zero, his specialty being against regular gunfire or toxic damage, and even then with a thousand or so shields. Sigma returned with the Vectis as he looked for a health plate in his inventory, but, unfortunately, the last explosion had damaged them, but had also somehow broken the magnetic proc which wouldn't let his shields recharge. They began to and he looked around, noticing the volt on the ground. Sigma restored his shields to full and followed, Halcyon would have to wait until his rejuvenation restored his health, but he crouched near the volt, checking for extreme wear and tear from the fight still going on, he seemed fine, but the bolt remover hadn't seemed to work, a small remnant of it left behind, burrowing it's way into the warframe.

"Awe sh!t," Halcyon said, jumping back when he realized it was more like an ascaris.

The Volt continued to rise as the voice grew louder. "Grineer supremacy... inevitable... your kin... worthless wretches... in the way of utopia... obey... kill... NOW!" By now the Volt was fully standing. Activating his speed he dashed towards the Frost, his hand crackling with large amounts of electricity. The Volt would attempt to grab the Frost's head and surge all of his electrical power through it.

The explosion for some reason had little effect on Larche. When the smoke cleared he saw the grineer on the other side of the room likely trying to get away. However by now Larche's sentinels have come. Lurgoyf the wyrm sentinel and Griib upon arrival opened fire on the volt registering him as an enemy. (Whether the mind controlled tenno survives is up to you). Kaathe rushes over to Larche and unloads the weapons he was carrying. Larche smiled as he held his braton prime in his hands. Larche usually didn't like prime weapons or warframes due to fact that gold color is not helpful for stealth purposes but there is nothing better for a straight up gun fight.

Larche also removed the dakra prime from the sentinel and then opened fire on mirari. Meanwhile Kaathe flew to Halcyon fully restoring his regenerating shields

Halcyon had not only expected an attack, he prepared for it, but he hadn't bargained on the Volt being able to use his abilities, he had dropped the temperature of his warframe to absolute zero temperatures, and held his hands up in defense, the volt being too fast for his reactions despite being shot at, he had reacted without thinking, and watched in awe as a blast shield of ice appeared in front of him, his arm connected to it. He lifted it as the Volt made impact, and he was pushed back by the force of the attack. Unfortunately, the ice conducted the electricity from the attack, and while his brain wasn't fried, his shields took a hit as electrical interference passed over it. Halcyon shook off the static and turned, bringing the blast shield around to bash te Volt with it, previously friend or foe, the ascaris had taken control, and it was an abomination of tenno, if he were controlled in such a way, he would wish for death.

EAmorr braced herself against the whips and grabbed them as they wrapped around her arms. Her kubrows charged around the corner and charged at the grinner female. EAmorr gave a sharp whistle "Jarak, Rakar, go to the frost!" the raksa, and sunika rushed to the wounded frost and jumped on the volt. Meanwhile her other two kubrows were mauling the foot solders that seemed to endlessly flow out of the corridors.

 

With her arms entangled in the whips the grineer had the upper hand, but if there was one thing EAmorr hated it was being constrained. with a surge of strength that was quickly fading she pulled on the whips to try to knock the grineer off balance.

Halcyon's ground rending strike was about to hit the Volt into next week when two kubrows jerked the warframe away, knocking the volt down. The ice shield slammed into the ground, leavin a dent in the floor. He lifted it to see the surface degrading as it took more damage. He looked up and debated getting the kubrows off the volt, electrical sparks flying around the scuffle on the floor.

The Ash would have his perception of reality stretched as the Grineer commander began attempting to switch teleport the two. If he were successful, the Ash would appear in a separate room in the middle of a group of 6 lanchers, 4 butchers, 3 troopers, 2 scorches, and a heavy gunner & bombard.

The Volt avoided most of the bullets using his extreme speed, however it did not expect the sudden ice shield the Frost has stirred up. After being knocked down the Volt was about to get back up when he was tackled by the Kubrows. The Volt, being pinned to the ground, would attempt to grab both Kurbows by the throat and surge his electrical power through them.

Gunfire and cries of pain and death can be heard as the squads of Grineer are ended by the duo Kubrows. However, the Grineer hoards showed no signs of stopping, even increasing as more of the ship became aware of the developing situation and more powerful as the more elite of the Grineer were alerted from the depths of the Galleon to the situation developing. Two Scorpions launched their grapples at one of the Kubrows in an attempt to drag it into the range of three butchers and a heavy gunner. 

 

The whips began to glow brighter as they began to heat up more and more. Beati was not prepared for the Valkry's sudden tug, however and was thrown onto the ground, having the whips thrown out of her hands. Although Beati immediately used her extraordinary speed to get up, she didn't attempt to get her whips which were now at the foot of the Valkry.

The Lotus contacted the Tenno through a transmission. "Tenno, I detect numerous Grineer transport ships heading towards your position, all filled with Grineer marines. In a matter of minutes the Galleon while be swarmed with Grineer marine"

Halcyon heard the lotus as his shield broke apart, he turned to the Volt as the kubrows were shocked and thrown off it, it would've been impossible to dodge at that range anyway.

 

 

"You choose now!" Halcyon roared, "You live and come with us, or you die an abomination."

 

 

Halcyon raised his hand, summoning an Avalanche that  covered the room, dealing damage and freezing dead enemies. He waited for the Volt to make the choice, though he knew which one it would be, and he knew it was unfair to give such a choice to the mind controlled Volt. He was interrupted by the Lotus,

 

 

"Tenno, you were sent to save that Volt, you can not kill him."

 

 

"I was sent to save a Volt, this is a disgrace to the tenno, a malformed attempt at controlling our power, I'm not sure the ascaris can be negated at this point, and I won't have a traitor on my ship." He growled to the Lotus. Waiting for the Volt to make a move.

Larch seeing Mirari's attempted teleport used smoke bomb causing the grineer to lose his target and fail the switch teleport. Larche then used his own teleport and stood in front of mirari in melee distance. He gripped the grineer's shoulder and stepped on his foot. Larche then jammed his braton prime into Mirari's chest and said "Dodge this". And he opened fire

The Braton's bullet's easily breaked Mirari's already damaged armour, filling his chest with lead. Mirari fell down his armour broken and his chest now a hole filled with bullets and gore. Mirari's flesh seemed different however, it was sick and twisted, as if suffering from some kind of disease. Despite the hole in his chest, Mirari twitched on the ground

 

The VOlt stood his ground, and within the space of a second had his helmet off and his right hand clamped around his face. His right arm crackled with electrical energy, however his hand was void of any of it. The Volt had short, messy blond hair and red pupils.

 

A Grineer voice boomed over the speakers "Tenno, cease your fighting with the two Grineer, or face the death of your kin".

Larche made what many would call a command decision. If they stopped fighting the two grineer they would later capture other tenno as the two of them were fighting rather well despite being outnumbered 2-3. Larche killed Mirari so there was only one left. Assuming they just let them leave which they probably wouldn't given that Larche and the other tenno tore their galleon to pieces. They wouldn't let them take the Volt with them or EAmorr for that matter. Making their mission a failure. This was likely a ploy to get them to lower their guards so that the grineer can have two or more tenno to torture. Then lastly the volt was fully mindcontrolled if he could speak he would want death before serving skoom like the grineer. So Larche activated his communicator and told the lotus

"Sorry Lotus But the mission is a failure." He then opened fired two rounds into Mirari's head and then opened fired on the volt giving him the final honor of dying like a tenno rather than a slave of the grineer. He then signaled the other tenno. It was time to extract.

Halcyon glared at the Volt, dying on the ground. He bowed his head, and stepped closer, giving the final blessing of his religion to the fallen tenno, he saw Larche's signal,

 

 

"Go without me, the Grustrag three remain here. I will crush them, and crush the remaining grineer on this ship, the surrounding ships would tear us apart regardless, I will keep them occupied from here, you escape along with EAmorr, I will give you two the distraction required to escape, and then get out on my own." He said, standing and heading to the bridge of the Galleon, the weapon systems would be located there, and the remaining members of the Grustrag 3 would be there as well, he ignored any arguments made, sprinting forward to get his part done, regardless of consequences or obstacles. Leekter fell quickly, dying while gurgling his own blood as Haclyon flew past him, slitting the grineer's throat as he went. He landed in the bridge, slaughtering the lancers within and  squaring off against Vem Tabook. Electro rounds exploded towards Halcyon and he deflected them, taking one to the shoulder, but pushed through it as he raged about his failed mission. He practically teleported forward, and quickly diced the leader of the Grustrag three, steaming chunks remained of the grineer, and Halcyon placed a snow globe on the doorway, jumping to the controls and directing the Galleon towards one of the approaching ones, firing it's port and starboard cannons at anything grineer. Hoping that his work would be of use.

It was as if Beati could sense that Mirari had died. As soon as he drew his last breath, Beati made a dash towards the Tenno, turning her wall into a wall run at the last second to try and confuse EAmorr. If she wee successful in evading the Tenno, she would move through the door behind EAmorr, that burst open, revealing five elite lanchers that immediately began firing on the Tenno.

 

The force of the bullets easily pushed the Volt back to the wall, easily penetrating the frail frame used more for dodging than tanking. The Volt slide down, gurgling blood. The Volt blinked, it's red pupils replaced with the black ones of any normal person. His eyes were filled with fear and confusion. He mouthed a single, silent word. "Why?". Then he fell still.

 

The Lotus once again contacted the Tenno. "Tenno, your mission is not yet a failure. I sense that this would not be the last we see of these new Grineer, or others like them. You have three choices. You can hunt down the remaining Grineer before it escapes the ship. You can go to the ship's mainframe to try and get information on the two Grineer. Or you can extract. The choice is yours."

Larche checked his map of the galleon and found that the ship's mainframe wasn't too far away. He ordered his sentinels to hold off the grineer while he fled to the mainframe. The information maybe useful if they ever encounter the like of Mirari and Beati again. When he arrived in the mainframe he pulled an empy data storage device out of the closet and began to mass download the data on the ship. Although it would take a few minutes before they got everything. He had his sentinels retreat to his position and then ordered Liz his Ship AI to the nearby docking bay.

As the female grineer dashed from the room EAmorr fell to her knees, with her last bit of strength she crawled over to the volt. She placed her shaking hands over the volt's wounds, whispering her goodbyes to a fellow tenno she kissed the volt on his forhead and closed his eyes. Her kubrows came to her side and helped her to stand and they made their way to the extraction ponit where the others would be waiting for her.

"Operator? Service update, I am now known as Nano, will you be heading to extraction soon?" Ordis, now Nano, asked, and halcyon shook his head, blowing four holes in one of the galleons,

"I might Nano, but not on this ship. If I don't get back to you, go to Natalia, everything in the inventory belongs to her if I don't make it." He ordered, and Nano nodded, watching from far away as one ship wreaked havoc on the others with the element of surprise, however, the enemy ships were recalibrating, locking on. His master had approximately 10 minutes before the Galleon he was on was obliterated in a firestorm of heavy grineer cannon fire. Sigma had gotten aboard the ship and also watched. Halcyon had just finished hacking the auto fire weapon systems, as the ship was targeting enemies on it's own, a course set for one of the nearby Galleons. He sprinted away and skidded into the mainframe room. Seeing Larche,

"Hey, we should probably get out of here, soon." He said, looking at the download and seeing it was not even 20% done. He pointed at the way to extract when te ship was rocked with an explosion as one of the ships manually targeted the one they were on. A breach in the back half of the ship started draining pressure to the back of the ship.

"Yep, we should definitely get out of here." He reasoned. Looking at Larche.

Larche said "F°°° it. Already got the important bits" He checked the data storage device and he already had the information on mirari and beati files on it as well as the facilities where the relocated tenno were taken. This could open a big can of worms.

Satisfied with what he managed to get. He picked up the data storage device in one and asked halcyon for one of his dex furis throwing and loading despair daggers in one hand is a pain in the @$$.

Chaos erupted on the Galleon as it started to take fire. Some Grineer starting panicing, running around not knowing what to do. Some Grineer were killed by the Galleon fire, or were sucked through the blast holes into the vastness of space, never to return. Some Grineer rushed towards the Tenno, trying to make sure they would go down with the ship. However, a large majority of them rushed towards the hanger, hoping to catch some of the escaping ships to avoid being caught up in the Galleons inevitable destruction. Ten Grineer burst into the mainframe room, three butchers, three lanchers, two elite lanchers and two troopers.
 

Beati rushed towards the escape ships, using her extreme speed to rush through the Galleon unopposed. Around the space of a minute after beginning her rush, she reached the hanger, boarded one of the escaping ships and retreated off the Galleon.

The opposing factions squared off, neither side making the first move. The sound of the air depressurizing egged Halcyon forward as he combat rolled toward the butchers, spraying at two with his Dex Furis and head butting the final one.

The first two butchers went down like flies, their light armour not being able to withstand the hailstorm of bullets. The headbut forced the third butcher to fall to the ground, stunned and getting up in a few seconds if nothing else was done about him. The troopers moved up with the butchers, be it slightly behind them. They were both close to within melee distance of the Frost and started backpaddeling as they fired their shotguns at the Tenno.

The Lanchers, still at the door a several metres behind the troopers, opened fire on the Frost aswell.

Holding the data storage device Larche pulled out his Dakra prime and teleported in front of the elite lancers in the back of the battle. He used channeling and then swung his Dakra horizontally where if it hit then two of the grineer would be killed.

The elites not expecting the attack were caught completely off guard without any time to react. The Dakra hit, the bodies slowly floating upwards as they had begun their dissipation into small energy particles. The other three lancers, seeing their comrades killed immediately turned their fire to Larche. There was one Grineer to his left and two to his right.

Larche swung his Dakra to right hoping to take out the other two lancers allowing his shield to absorb the shots to his back.

While Larche managed to kill the first Grineer the second stepped back just in time so the blade was just short of cutting fully through the Grineer's bulky armour. The Grineer to Larche's right quickly backpaddeled as he continued firing while the Grineer to Larche's left stood his ground and fired.
