Ember Overheat Return Idea

Can Ember please have overheat back, but with a fixed damage reduction. Ember isn't a good frame at all in my opinion and if Overheat was returned with a fixed damage reduction there might be people actually playing her

Ember, at least in my opinion, doesn't need Overheat to be good. Her Accelerant is great, and Fireball/World on Fire only really need a few minor tweaks or Utility additions. Fire Blast needs work.

 

But overall, I don't think she needs Overheat. Besides, people DO play her... very effectively I might add.

I actually love how her kit is my only annoyance is how Accel works, if it was like Banshee's Silence it would be perfect.   I mean if she can do that with WoF why can't she do that with Accel?

I just got 700 kills with the normal ember, mostly pressing 2 and then 4 with the help of vauban's vortex.....and it was unranked......700!!!

While Ember could use another look at, she does not need Overheat.

Overheat was a bandaid, and a terrible one at that.  Accelerant adds more useful attributes to her kit than Overheat ever did.  Please leave Overheat in the dumpster where it belongs.

Give Ember a weaker Overheat effect when she is standing inside of the Fire Blast circle with WoF active.  Fire Blast should augment Ember's other abilities and grant bullets that pass through it bonus Fire damage, IMO.

Ember is now an awesome CC frame. 2 of her skills have guaranteed Fire procs and another one stumbles them, anyways, and when they're flailing from the flames, they ain't shootin'.

 

She's at a decently good place right now. Overheat isn't required.

Here's the thing about Overheat - Ember's skillset emphasizes her abilities as a caster. Her survivability should be low, but she should bring strong CC and utility to make up for this. She should focus on utilizing her attacks at some range, rather than headbutting enemies. Plus, the more nerfs that were coming to Overheat started to make it only slightly less redundant of World on Fire.

 

I understand the reasoning behind asking for Overheat back - three of her abilities use point-blank effects, and every other elemental bar Banshee can use their elements to defend themselves - but there are much more synergistic solutions to flaws within her skillset (such as her shocking overspecialization) than an obligatory mitigation skill.

There's already an entirely new crowd playing Ember. I don't think Overheat will get any support any more, no matter ho good it would be to get back.

 

Personally I would like to finally see alt skills make it into warframe, with ability to swap accelerant for overheat (now with 90% hardcap on DR) to change the frame skillset dramatically.

 

Or we can just take our nostalgia glasses off and let it go.

or..... slap Overheat onto World on Fire............... with a static DR amount that isn't affected by power strength........... maybe even.... Overheat with a twist->more enemies ignited=more DR?

 

but iono..... the days when max PS would give so much DR that ember was HEALED from taking damage was abit crazy..... at any rate good luck to you alls quest to getting Overheat returned........
