Xeo_Nespydonum
It has to do with key bindings- I would like to have a way to have alt-fire and Zoom be different buttons like the key binding settings say you can xD
Elvang
Generally, the answer to all the "why doesn't weapon X have zoom/alt fire key work" questions seems to be "consoles don't have enough buttons, so it doesn't get implemented/fixed". As far as I know, there hasn't actually been a DE response, official or just comment, on the separate alt fire/zoom bindings not working at all. LascarCapable
I don't need zoom function. I'm too busy shooting freaking exploding cubes everywhere. I guess it's the same case for all quanta lovers !

(PSN)MrNishi
Quanta doesn't need a zoon...it has a range limit of 50m and is an ammo efficient continuous beam weapon. You aim with reticule held and just match the reticule dot on target. If numbers start popping then you are hitting an enemy or object, just sweep side to side to "broom' enemies. Granted it suffers from delayed damage like all of the continuous weapons so there is a chance some of your beam is not hitting a target, but oh well.
