Renegade343
So, while I was playing Warframe on a ship Sabotage Mission, I was reminded of this thread I made quite some time ago, with the goal of finding out the volume of the reactor core. Then, as I saw it spin, another question popped up into my head: What is the angular velocity of the reactor core? And so, I took one point on its surface (the point where it represents the radius of the core), then took the time taken for one full revolution (i.e.: 2π). And so, I obtained 3.7s (on average), and allowed me to calculate the angular velocity ω: ω = 2π/T (T = time taken for one full revolution) ω = 2π/3.7s ω = 1.7 rad/s And the tangential velocity (for fun) would be: v = r*ω v = 0.367m * 1.7s-1 v = 0.624 m/s And so, whenever your friends ask you, "What is so fun about Warframe?", you can proudly say, "It has reactor cores that have an angular velocity of 1.7 rad/s!". Then, when your friends reply, "And why is that representing fun for Warframe?", you can then reply, "Because I get bored!". And if one has not noticed, the last paragraph is just sarcasm. TheErebus.
Renegade, whenever someone asks me why I play warframe I say this: "BECAUSE WE HAVE PEOPLE WHO CAN FIND OUT THE ANGULAR VELOCITY OF A REACTOR CORE. DO YOU HAVE OEN OF THOSE ON YOUR CODS?"

Diun
I like reading your threads. It's pretty cool and a little bit funny to see mathematics applied to mundane things in Warframe.

Renegade343
And tangential velocity? Omfg too much math already T-T Tangential velocity is the velocity of the object in a circle, in which its direction portion of the vector will only touch the circle at one point.
