Logic And Warframe - Observations

Most changes that could happen to make things in this universe have more logical sense would end up enraging the playerbase.

...

Basically, at this point, we're too far into Warframe to do such drastic changes.

If this is true, then DE may see a massive drop in their playerbase once players realize that the game is broken beyond repair.

I agree with adding logic behind the mechanics, without actually removing the mechanics. (although I would be up for streamlining them to be more fluid, or consistant. the slide-flip-air melee is irritatingly inconsistant) All it would really require is adding in "void effects" upon doing anything that would be impossible using the traditional laws of physics. For instance the high speed sliding could be explained by simply having a carpet of energy under your warframe, similar to how a hover craft works. Air melee-ing could have an effect similar to the air puff effect that is in many games that have a double jump, except more void-y. A wall of void energy shunting you forward perhaps? There could be a stream of energy left behind your hands when wall running to give a better appearance of sticking to the wall... What do you guys think?

Sadly, any sense of logic is irrelevant no matter how hard you try simply by the existence of all of our magical warframe abilities. It doesn't matter how realistic it should  or shouldn't appear, we're still disintegrating entire legions by spewing corrosive stuff out of our hands, shooting spheres of energy that collect other bullets/beams/projectiles of any kind to make an explosion, and teleporting in every imaginable way.

This is a fantasy game, and fantasies don't require logic beyond a game's own constructs.

I tend to disagree even fantasy kind of magic, powers and all that kind of stuff is based on some rules.

Magic requires spell incantations gestures rituals or anything similiar, mass effect technology is all based on elemental with specific properties. Even if you break physics laws then at least you put some rules and explanations why this physic law doesnt work anymore.

Putting simple thing like energy aura every time you slide would already make more sense, "yeah that tenno is moving faster while sliding since hes being propelled by space magic", does it bend laws of physics?? yes it does, but at least theres a reason why it works like it works.

Also another example would punch through, we have bullets which can penetrate solid walls(without leaving holes in hull which could potentially create vacuum in room) and shields made from same alloy as armors of guys we fight but somehow these bullets dont penetrate armor and tbh i cant think of anything that would allow for such a thing, not even space magic is that selective.
