I dont like to use that term to describe them That really depends on what you are referencing off of Red Veil agents dont have much black on them its kinndaaaa redish brown/redish orange/alittle black/ and some white/grey or their leader which, depending on your lightings, reflections, ect is a greyish black (not pure black) with a somewhat cherry red Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hyenasaurus Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) I actually was gonna make my Zephyr based off the same Crane but changed my mind and went with the peafowl Of course its not the best and its kinda loud so I might change my Zephyr. But I like it, it looks elegant. I prefer white and red over black and red I like the Deer theme of your oberon. If you wanna throw in some contrast, try using blue or green energy. I personally I based my oberon off of NiGHTS from Sonic Team to make use of the purple to white gradient on his loin cloth. I will agree that for some reason Hydroid is the hardest to color. I dunno why but I just have had trouble being happy with one color. I tried to use more darker saturated greens and blues but It just isnt coming out right! Trying to base him off seaweed. I feel like they should have added more secondary color to his head but meh that is just my nitpick I tend to make my color schemes based off things from nature/mythology, specially asiatic ones. I find it tends to look better than randomly splattering colors, not that it never works right but it feels more... right. That said Peafowl Zephyr is probably a good one. The randomness of Zephyr's colors makes it not really work with my crane. I actually did do the energy thing at one point, as well as lower the saturation of Oberon's browns. I just don't have a very good screenie of that scheme. This is the closest I could find. Hydroid is like coloring hard mode. It's so hard to come up with good colors for it. I tried everything, blues, greens, purples, then blacks, whites or browns... nothing seems to work that works for a water-ish theme, except for his default or similar to it. I like my current one, it looks better out of the arsenal's lighting. That said, I did see a very cool Hydroid in a relay that managed to rock the water monster theme. Maybe he could be helpful? It can't be seen here, but the animation of the zanuka sigil he was using made it look like magma ripples. Please and thank you! ^.^ Here are a few of my favs; Elegant (Kinda Anor Londo-ish? Cream/Mauve/Gold. All in Classic Saturated.) Random stuff, mostly Bichromatic cause Bichromes rock. Palettes included. Storm Palette Twilight Palette. That's actually a dark grey-brown, not black. This one's actually all over the place. Pale Cream from Twilight, Charcoal from Smoke, and Gold from Classic Saturated/Halloween. Eximus Palette These are some specialty schemes. Minty Nova. Twilight Brown, Eximus Mint, and Smoke White. Nova Prime's really cute-looking. Wanted a cute theme. Lotus Banshee. Lotus purples/blues, Orokin Gold. Koi Chroma. Entirely Tenno Palette if you'd believe it. Atlantis Vauban. Grineer Palette. Thought this one came out well. Might try to apply this to Hydroid, who doesn't take color schemes well. Wild Saryn. Lotus Purple, Tenno Teal-blue, Smoke Black. Infested Pink energy. This one just kinda looks awesome. Dark Cherry Loki. Take that Red/Black schemes. Classic Saturated Dark-Magenta, Daybreak Soft Pink, Smoke Black.
