Katakuna
I can appreciate the atmosphere and adrenaline rushes that good horror games provide. Yet if a horror game allows me to fight back, then the "horror" is gone. Last horror game I played was Alien Isolation, which got me good up until I got the flamethrower. After that, whenever I got careless with stealth, my internal dialogue -- beforehand a constant stream of profanities -- was pretty much Rambo. I have to be utterly defenseless in order to enjoy horror games. So, games like Amnesia and Outlast took me a while to finish, due to how well they spooked me. Horror stories and movies, however, have no effect on me, due to the fact that I am not in direct control of the characters. It's more of a "ha ha, sucks for them" as opposed to a "god dammit, sucks for me." It's a very detached experience.
Snydrex
If a game can actually scare me, then I would be impressed. I just got used to it, I suppose.
TrashSpider
I still get scared the crap out of horror games, but I do find myself not reacting to jumpscares like I uses too. Age really does mellow the person.
Sixty5
Dunno, I haven't played anything from EA or Ubisoft for a couple of years now. Alternatively I find the best approach is to start playing one at around 3am after not sleeping for 30 hours + Being alone in the house also helps. If I'm playing horror games, I want to be scared s***less.
