Manic Out Or In?

Nerf Manic or it should leave. This is bad design DE. I just got bleed proc 300 per tick. And mag with 315 health just can not do anything. I slapped down health restore and New Loka ally. Nope still died and I need to listen that clown's laugh of you making him utterly broken.

Here is list of changes what must happen at least three (preferably all of them):

Nerf the bleed damage to: Mininum 25 and maxinum 30.

Remove invincibility. Seriously. For example Doom guy gets knocked back all over places even if he has invincibility (Funny thing to mention two cyberdemons made me be their ping pong ball once). If you run at tornado it is AIs own stupidness. So allow them to be crowd controlled and loose invincibility if gets crowd controlled. Reflex race for the win.

Allow player to get this freed from stun lock. Seriously. If we can not kick off a god damnd sircus clown off of our face there is something really wrong on your game logic. Seriously if you can not make those animations why did you release him?

Increase first ability damage by 5 times bigger against Manic.

Increase melee damage on Manic. I used dragon nikana against one 35 manic. It has 855 slash damage. I dealt about 400 or less.

Also DE. Read the spoiler below:

Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run Test run. EVERY single change you make in to the game. Because THAT IF ANYTHING. Saves you from A LOT of work too. For you own sake. TEST RUN EVERYTHING! There is no game what can not survive without test run.

Sure it consumes a lot of time but if you think about getting these kind of rants or feedback. You would get much more easier in your work when there wouldn't be a lot of flame on your heels Pyro: *mumbling* I didn't mean that literally...

This is not League of Legends when Rengar was released and enemy team had him. Seriously it is not funny. Riot games needed more than 2 months to balance him to be balanced. DO NOT do that same mistake. Please.

I never got killed by Maniac, just dodge the attacks lol this ''mini-boss'' is supposed to be strong as hell, so no point on nerfing it.

I agree with this guy. I found him to be a little frustrating and challenging, but all in the good ways. It's a welcome change to see an enemies that puts up a fight in regular missions

This is a mini-boss, i have yet to be killed by him so I guess i am missing all the hub bub is about. He shows up, we kill him, if one of the less skilled players gets taken down, no prob pick them up. As far as i can tell as long as your actively in motion he cant hit you.

The thing is, they made ONE enemy this interesting and fun, but what about the rest? I mean I'm growing a passion for killing him just to shut him up. His movement and mechanics could/should exist in the other AI (not his abilities, but basically him not being completly suicidal if you're spraying bullets at him). One enemy out of how many? and bosses? actually puts up a fight no matter the lvl.... Am I the only one who figure this strange that it took 2 years for this to happen?

DE should make a rework on bosses and make em more like.. Vor (the mercury one), not like Anyo, i just oneshot him :| is not even fun to make em xD too easy, we want real badass bosses, a bit more like Lephantis (not like he is too hard, but at least you can't oneshot him).

In or out?

OUT.

Payday 2 style Auto-Kill mechanics do not belong in a long-progressional game like this. Where years of work suddenly mean nothing -.-

Down with Anti-Progression! Down with Manic. Complete removal.

Instead, copy>paste how Manic works, onto Tyl-Regor.  I wouldnt give 2 s##ts if this was for a BOSS.

What will you people defend DE for next? QuickTimeEvents? Its the year of quality for cryin out loud, ask for more!

This.  The Manic is a very well-done specialist mob.  Threatening but doesn't spawn that often.  Has actual counterplay and therefore takes some skill to beat.  Etc.  If only Nullifiers were this fair.

And by progression you mean essentially letting your mods and gear play the game for you?

I think the Manic is fine being as strong as it is, considering that only one can spawn per mission and even lets you prepare by signaling his presence about 10 seconds before he spawns. I'm not sure where this idea of "anti-progression" with the mob came about - the game isn't going to progress gameplay-wise if you're unwilling to adapt new strategies for new encounters. Stop expecting to be able to employ the exact same tactics for everything and instead put some thought and practice into the Manic encounter.

Talk about him not being strong is like complaining this game being too easy since everybody is playing as Rhino Prime. Be glad that humanity is allowed to be at least slightly stupid. That includes me (I managed to trigger my car's anti thief system accidentally. Because I never thought what would trigger it)

I think they should be keept in, because everyone who is high level can talk bull because there high level and can one hit kill all bosses... its time to give people the late veteran a CHALLENGE! And honestly don't we think its time to stop complaining and man up and face the challenge head on!

I love the Maniac just the way he is, awesome.

I love that he is a threat, that he has a great annoying laugh that really makes you want to smash him while smiling at the same time, and overall he's just a great design.

OP, I think you are bugged though because I dont see the bleed that high.

OP - were you in a nightmare mission - otherwise that sounds like a bug - never had 300 per tick dmg from the Manic.

He should be an assassin. Buff him more and make him come after you with the whole lights flicker and everything.

He is basically a mini-assassin/boss - I don't see why he needs the super annoying flicker as well when he has audio cues.

Where years of work suddenly mean nothing -.- Down with Anti-Progression!

If this is all it takes to make your "years of work" mean nothing - you clearly weren't working very hard.

Awesome audio cues at that, as if you really can't hear him laughing at you then you really do deserve him jumping on your back and giving you a smiley face. :)

/agreed that some turn minor issues into life and death changes.
