Greedy Pull - Collect Orbs Rather Than Pulling Them In

This is a suggestion to make the Greedy Pull augment cause Mag's Pull to collect energy/health/affinity orbs for herself, but not to affect the orbs for other players. It would still pull all other items like normal.

 

This would essentially be a nerf to Greedy Pull in that it would not create a gigantic ball of infinite health and energy under the feet of the Mag during missions where the group sits still. The check would still be made for whether Mag is missing energy/health before collecting the orbs (as if she ran over them), so she wouldn't be wasting them.

 

The convenience of collecting mods and ammo would still exist, but Mag would essentially only be able to benefit herself with energy and health, not the entire group.

 

I think this is a reasonable compromise. The group can't fall asleep anymore, and neither can the Mag since she has to at least pull in the direction of the orbs at the time she wants to collect them rather than sitting on them.

The majority of people won't like this because it means they will actually have to manage energy instead of camping in one spot unfortunately. I doubt Greedy Pull will be changed any time soon to address the issue of Gmag camping.

And in the case of Mesa just ya know, signal Trinity to do an EV kill right after Mesa toggles off, then it's another minute or two before needing another EV.

Personally I prefer this because then I don't end up wasting energy orbs due to efficiency builds. I'd rather control when I collect my orbs.

Especially when it comes to health orbs & equilibrium.

Battery Trinity at least requires a meager level of coordination, but yes, it isn't exactly balanced either.

Don't forget you'll also need to get energy restores nerfed and of course there's also efficiency mods with energy syphon, Limbo, and maybe throw frost in there too cuz his globe is really just a camping tent.

 

Then it's on to nerfing weapons.

While it makes sense for it to obey line of sight, I think that ignoring line of sight is something the makes it appropriately unique.

I think a majority of players appreciate getting all the drops in one place, regardless of mission type.

In high level play, GP can be very convenient when there are swarms of enemies all around.

Not EVERYONE farms you know. This is a $&*&*#(%& suggestion.

i think the hp/energy orbs are THE most important aspect of greedy pull- and you suggest to take that away.

This suggestion will leave Mag still able to collect orbs for herself at range, but will not physically move the orbs to be collected by other players.
