Tesla Causing Retinal Overexposure And Imprinting.

Need to make the Teslas not do damage to our vision.

Let me preface this by saying, yes, I have great graphics.  Yes, most of them are either turned off, or turned way down.  First of all bloom.

The Teslas caused me a very disturbing and terrifying episode last night in the middle of only my third game of the evening.

A friend put Teslas near my head, which I  waited out till they were gone before moving, but then put more than several in one spot.  After which I had loss of ability to focus and had a bright blurry spot in my vision with sparkling moving edges.

Now, I realize that I have photo sensitive eyes, and not everyone will have this problem.  But it literally took almost an hour for my eyes to return to normal.

Was very frightening and only after 2 and a half missions !!.

An ophthalmologist has told me that it was caused by over exposure to overly bright stimuli to my retina, and that it can actually cause imprinting.  ( like leaving a picture on a TV screen ).

PLEASE,  do something to fix the effects on this awesome new ability.

After all, we cant play warframe if we cant see !!

+1 your Artist in charge of Bloom effects need to bump in down a notch or 12.

Seriously, what with Nyx, Vaunban, Frost I feel like I am walking through a field of flash bangs.

Its like water boarding your retinas with exploding lights, but damn the addiction feels good.

I am sorry about what happened but the game is a game and it has an art style. So they probably wont change it that much. (if they don't already have one they need one of thoughs warning things that says don't play if you have  had an epileptic condition or have had seizures of any kind, consultyour physician before playing because)

if I play some music so loud your eardrums are damaged, can I defend that by saying that the music has a style...?

the OP is literally talking about eye damage here, dang. On a visual effect everyone else has already complained about because it's framerate-destroying and/or screen-floodingly spamming!

....you guys do know most screens, tvs and even games have a brightness setting right?....just a thought and whatnot, but couldnt you turn that down?, before i got my new screen i had one that had almost no backlight so dark stages were pitch black no matter how bright i tried to make it, so getting them to tone down their lights instead of yours may cause problems for others.

again.....just saying

actually i did, but you clearly didnt read my post, i didnt mean to be hostile in any way but your post makes me want to be, especially because if you DID have them turned ALL down youd have nothing but a black screen.  anywho i agree the lighting is bright, and it would be nice to have yet another slider to turn down contrast in game (as im guessing some people dont quite know how to use their screen settings properly)

Why not make Teslas be throwable on player`s screen to blink them out and make them wonder aimlessly for 40 seconds or more? Would be great to throw on the face of those anoying rushing players who run through the stage leaving everything alive, complete the objective and leave you behind to get killed by the active mobs and possibly not getting to the extraction point in time to earn the stage credits and mods? :P

I agree with this in general. There is just too much flashyness, brightness and overall glowy particles.

The solution isn't about turning off graphic options as the problem is still present. The solution: Either tone down the brightness to a non-eyekiller level, or remove it all together and replace it with something less eye-straining. Take excalibur's slash dash as a good example. That never hurt my eye.

I get that DE tried to be flashy about their new creation and stuff, but this is just crazy. Nyx and Frost is kind of "acceptable"/"below the bar", but Vauban takes the cake. I had eye pain just from looking at the game at night when a Vauban started using it's abilities. No, i do not play with my lights on at night, I like the light of my monitor. However, i do not like being blind for minutes or just hurting from eyestrain because of VAUBAN FLASH.

Or could it be DE and the designers/creators of Vauban are fans of Dragonball and had TAIYOKEN/Solar Flare in mind when creating Vauban?
