When I read a visual novel, I'm expecting a good story with deep character development. Visual is just a bonus, and help better understanding of story. Unless you're going to a VN that's classified as "adult" or Sakura Spirit (vomits from the mere mentioning of that VN), most, if not all of VNs aren't really porn.
