What was the energy drain of an eff build when duration didn't affect it ?

3.75 when maxed properly, after duration changes? 7.5.

Now you need to get some of that duration back, which is pretty easy honestly. Even a standard continuity will bring you down to 4.6875 e/s a primed at 9 will get you the 3.75.

I don't think efficiency is broken. It is what it is, and functions the way it is supposed to function. It makes powers cheaper to cast. What I think some fail to realize is that some of us don't like using guns. That's why we play warframe instead of say (insert third person shooter here). Some of us like using powers and melee. Some just like destroying things with powers. Effenciency makes that possible.

There needs to be some thought given to other play styles... Not just your own. Yes, balance is important in terms of not having a mechanism whereby one player leaves nothing for other players to do.... However... The only exple of this that I have really seen is Mesa's peacemaker.... Which has been addressed.

Efficiency is not broken. It's a choice, that functions as intended... For those players who like using powers as their primary interactions, or who just like using their powers... (you know, those things that make each frame, and Warframe in general, unique)...More.

The easiest way to fix the problems OP is complaining ?

Limit restores to 5 per mission.

So frames cannot rely on pads, because all the changes he propose just promote pad usage.

Yes you can still use them, but with only 5 pads available each time, you have to think before you drop.

Secondly allow health orb to drop in normal games.

And let them compete with energy globes.

For example an enemy has 20% chance of dropping an energy orb, but 50% for it is a chance of a health orb.

And so when a health orb drops, there is no energy orb.

Tada you fixed newbies who can't afford to layer the map with pizzas or those who do not have life strike.

At the same time you fix the energy problems.

Energy issues are exacerbated because we have an abundance of energy orbs.

If energy orbs were rarer, it doesn't matter if he has 75% efficiency, because he can't get a single ability off if no energy orbs drop.

Then if he attempts to use pizzas, he gets hit by the 5 pizza cap.

I dont understand any of you.

DE already nerfed the hell out of energy accumulation....

Energy Syphon is switched off when you use a continues move (and considering the drain and the weak recovery it hurts a lot to people who just want to use abilities)

Energy Pads also do nothing during abilities....

Mag can no longer provide energy from orbs via greedy pull....

The only way you can get energy with a continues move is running around hoping for energy orbs to drop or have a Trinity on the team, thats it.

And if that is not enough you will be pausing your abilities a lot trying to restore your energy supply...

Do you guys even play the game or what?

More restrictions will lead this game more and more to become just a shooter which is to say the least, boring.

It also punished continues energy usage frames much more then others.

Also it will lead even more to players requesting other players to be trinity (fun time for the designated trin right?)

At the same time, shifted, you dont want to risk turning Warframe into a 3rd person Destiny clone, where 95% of game play relies on guns and abilities come to feel like shoehorned afterthoughts. Do that, and you will lose a goodly portion of your audience.

Warframe is not first and foremost a skill based shooter. And if does not continue to differentiate itself from the pack of skill based, weapon and aim focused shooters, it will lose an audience. Warframe is first and foremost an ARPG and really needs to stay that way to maintain a fan base.

That
