(PSN)MoRockaPDX
Construing the year of quality statement to mean the game was supposed to be fully polished is not what they meant.
Demonfr34k
Why? It's a beta. We're the testers. Exactly, except this beta has been running for almost 3 years I wonder when DE plans to Officially name it a Launched Game, because for the longest time its been treated as if it was a free tom play game that's been launched. Why? Destiny had 5 years and half a billion dollars, a major publisher, and still needed a another year to polish. MGSV was 7 years in total to make. Yes But Warframe has been running the same formula as most free to play games which slap themselves as "launched", and still continue to update themselves, add content and fix any bugs that arise. Also Destiny and MGSV were not open to everyone those were closed betas. Edited October 5, 2015 by Demonfr34k

[DE]Grzegorz
Why? It's a beta. We're the testers. On one hand, Year of Quality turned out to be a bad joke. On the other, we are just consumers, and we don't have that much power over what DE does. We are not true testers, as Warframe is pretty much ready to go gold and the only thing that's holding it back is lack of content that would allow the happy few lunatics to get to MR30. Everything else is a promise that might never be kept. Content added to public build of Warframe is pretty much finished and most of the feedback goes to the Void, unless DE foxtrots up really badly. Demonik35
Why? It's a beta. We're the testers. It's not REALY a beta. Not like the traditional sense of the word. The game has a working microtransaction system so it's not like they can fully wipe everyone's accounts and do a "full release". Plus, the game isn't massively changing like a traditional Beta does. Sure the game is changing but it's changing through growth. The updates are simply new content, a lot like expansions in other games like Wow, just in smaller much more frequent ways. Also, creating a "Vault" to add Prime items to which may become available again at a later date is more indicative of a game that is for all intensive purposes fully released than one that is still in Beta. Most f2p games don't run on engines equivalent to Unreal. Warframe is a product class of its own. It is a crowd funded f2p play game, early access, open development. Think about how many games like this never make it out of closed beta. DE figured out how to make the game they always wanted. It just means seeing it go up, sausage factory, scaffolding, and all. The good, the bad, and the ugly of a actively evolving and developing game. I mean major systems are being overhauled. We just finished with Parkour 2.o, we are getting star map 3.0 soon, and next is damage/mods 3.0, or 4.0, I don't know anymore.
