Simple, it prevents you from creating 100 accounts and trading all of the plat to your main.

Pretty much. If is was tradeable you would have people making spam accounts to essentially get "free" plat on their main account.

Easier on DE to just say that 50 plat can't be traded.

thats just dumb tho like i mean seriously

How is it dumb?

There are people that would make hundreds of accounts just to get the plat if it was tradeable.

this is the age of digital hackers and cheats.

they are simply preventing that and doing a service to prevent inflation also in the game economy

so whining that you want to trade your 50p , is ludicrous , you wont get many prime parts for that ANYWAY, like 1 if your lucky

please give a little thought to the reason tenno.....

im sure you can understand if you put your mind to it....

or crack open a youtube video on the dangers of exploitation in MMO

What do you need plat for? To buy slots, cosmetics, powerups.

You can do it with your base plat. You just can't trade it with other users to avoid exploiters.

That's the right time to remind that Warframe is a free-to-play. Buy plat to help DE deploying more amazing features.

10 bucks and you are set up for basic amount of plat.

I think, personally, they should just drop the 50 plat and instead give the players a couple of potatoes and another handful of slots.

Most new players don't know what to spend the platinum on anyway.

No. This is done so to get new players using the games premium currency as soon as pos, the research suggests that doing this increases f2p to playing player conversion rates.
