You don't.

You build for max strength, zero efficiency (feel free to use blind rage. Get as close to your max energy cap as possible) get natural talent, despoil and equilibrium and use desecrate not only for loot but for power management.

His shadows are WAY too strong to miss out on them and the difference between max loot and assisted loot on a usefull kit is minor.

Personally i use a shadows build which requires him to use desecrate to have energy.

vitality, flow, despoil, shield of shadows, intensify, transient, natural talent and Equilibrium.

aka kil some enemies, desecrate (with despoil you consume health instead of energy), pick up orbs to get health and energy (from equilibrium), proceed to cast shadows when you killed around 10 or 11 enemies, which gives you a sweet dmg reduction due to shield of shadows. use fear as a panic button.

this build requires you to stay mobile due to desecrate having base range though. also keep your eye on your energy and remember that health orbs only give you energy if can pick them up, meaning if you're not full health, same for the energy orbs giving you health.

overall this is the only way i find nekros fun to play.

Here's a tip and a general quality of life guide for Nekros: don't go for min/max'ing his kit for one specific ability.

When you try to mod for multiple things, you allow the frame to function in multiple dimensions. Nekros has one of the greatest augment collections in the game, and I'd sincerely recommend every single one of them at the same time. He benefits from a large energy pool, and health and shield mods are optional, based on how tanky you want to be. Equilibrium synergizes extremely well with Despoil, as health orbs give energy and energy orbs give health, provided each one of those isn't full. This allows you to play him in a much more interesting and complex way than most other frames. Killing enemies gives him Shield of Shadows defenses, and Soul Survivor allows him to immediately revive an ally while nullifying his energy pool, but it means he can still gather energy from health orbs by using Despoil.

If you're just looking to Desecrate things, then all you need is Stretch, Overextended, Fleeting Expertise, Streamline, ( Primed ) Flow, Natural Talent and maybe Despoil.

You can fill the last ( or last 2 slot if you're not using Despoil ) with whatever. Insta-revive augment, survivability, Handspring...

Might wanna try other builds if you're planning on having fun though. Shield of Shadows build is pretty good if done right... But expect some people to scream at you for not Desecrating.
