Question

Hi guys! I'm new to this game. I just want to ask about how to perfectly install Warframe, Melee, Secondary and Primary Mods.

I'm trying to build Loki P, Paris P, Orthos P, and Kunai :)

Can you link pictures of your best builds of those items with a brief explanation on why you use those specific mods on that specific weapon/frame?

Thanks In Advance :)

I'm not going to link you anything as my builds are all adjusted to my play-style and preference but i can link two youtubers than will certainly help on your quest to mastery warframe. The First one is mogamu he posts builds for about every weapon there is and for all new weapons that come out. he occasionally gets leaks that he may be able to share for future patches (if he is allowed to). The second youtuber is Tactical potato he uploads builds and shows strats and is generally fun to watch.

Mogamu: https://www.youtube.com/user/mogamuTV

Tactical Potato: https://www.youtube.com/user/Sordats

They are both extremely helpful and fun to watch, just search your weapon through there channel and you will find a guide/build on that weapon.

p.s. some videos will look different, it is most likely that those videos are froma  previous patch.

I won't link any build pictures since you probably don't have most of the mods yet.

Use the +% damage mods on every weapon (for now). The mods are mandatory since they increase your overall damage. Everyone installs them so they're going to be removed/implemented into the weapons sooner or later.

Only put +% crit chance mods if the weapon has reasonable base critical chance. If so, you probably want to install the +% crit damage mods too.

Combine elemental mods to achieve different elements. Enemies are resistant and vulnerable to different damage types. You should learn what they do (status procs) and what factions have what weaknesses. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.0

Regarding Loki... This is a good solo frame if you build him for duration so he can stay invisible for as long as he can. Or you can build him for range so he can disarm as many enemies as possible with one cast. Playing Loki without augment mods is a waste. You should install Safeguard Switch for duration build, makes your allied target invincible for up to ~16 seconds or Irradiated Disarm for range build, makes disarmed enemies blinded and fighting each other with their batons.

Welcome to Warframe!

All you really need to know is to build Loki for maximum duration (invisibility is your best friend) and then power efficiency, survival, and utility in what mod space you have left.

Hi mate I'll post my Loki build next time I'm on my PC but what I will do now is give you some general tips. First off there is no perfect build for anything, it comes down to factors such as your own play style that you prefer, the frame you're using it with and how it can complement it's abilities, the enemy type you're facing, different armour type, elemental resistance preference etc. What I can tell you is how to figure out the majority for yourself on most weaponry.

Look at the weapons stats, this will give you the best idea of how to optimise the weapon. For example if it has a 50% status chance it might be good to slot elemental mods that give status chance, whereas if it had a high critical chance instead, it would be preferable to add pure damage elementals relying on simply killing enemies with high damage instead of crowd controlling them with Status mods. Another example is weapons with high fire rates that might be worth adding ammo increase mods to them, or take the Tonkor, a grenade launcher that does so much damage it becomes more useful to add splash damage range for the explosion rather than stack on extra un-needed damage. It's also worth looking at the majority damage type and slotting a mod that increases this. There are countless examples of specialising weaponry, you honestly need to figure out what you want from the weapon and how you intend to use it. Mod around your personal play style not around what everyone else thinks works best.

best advice in builds  I can give you for anything in the game is to know how to counter what the enemies are coming with which is the ultimate in surviving without effort.

knowing how to diminish the enemies armor shields and health pool with even the weakest of gear/load out is key.

while videos may provide some safety net that will carry you to a certain point against one faction when modding a weapon, in most cases and in battle it only covers 1/2 of the total package. this will ultimately end your fun run rather quickly. as there are always a mixture of shields within a mob to deal with mixed with armor and high health...

take your time  and play around having a total spread of countering all of these in your load out, with having it on your melee, primary, secondary, and sentinel rifle with having some sort return  regen health or shields for your frame.

its not fun and quite annoying to have to switch or mod for every faction whenever your doing missions when you just want to play and 90% of the time you forget or disregard it. so spreading out the counter measures across your load out will take you further than just specializing to one particular instance.

First and foremost, go to the wiki and learn about the damage system. No build on here mentioned will reach it's full potential damage if it's the wrong damage type against the wrong faction. I would also learn about each different warframe and what fits your particular playstyle. I personally suffered from not doing my research, I played the first 6 months of this game with Nekros when he first came out because I thought he looked cool, little did I realize that he was only useful in a few situations and a necessity in even less. Suffice to say that I started building all the warframes once I realized they were all unique in their strengths and weaknesses.

Laziness is poor reasoning for someone who is looking to get the "best" results out of his/her new equipment.

Instead of giving one specific build, I'll just explain on what stats to build around so you can experiment on what works for you.

Loki:

2 Options here. Max range, fficiency to be useful in a team. Natural Talent is a bonus, rest is up to you. Or max duration with reasonable efficiency for missions requiring stealth. Natural Talent is also good here.

Paris P:

Speed Trigger (because of the long draw time), Serration, Split Chamber and crit mods are a must, Some people can't get used to Heavy Caliber, so it's optional.

Orthos P:

I'd go for Reach, Rank 1 Life Strike, Fury and avoid Spoiled strike. The rest is a 2 element combination and damage mods. Orthos doesn't have the highest base damage, it has a great cleave range and attack speed.

Kunai:

Not worth going into modding because it's trash compared to Spira. If you're new there are a lot of better secondaries you can put a potatoe on.

In essence, try out different mod setups, experiment and find what works for you. But before you do that, I suggest to do some research on damage types, effects, armor and shield scaling etc., so you know what kind of enemies to prepare for and what are their strong and weak points. A lot of this information can be found on Youtube, if you are not a fan of reading the wiki and/or prefer to receive the information in a video format.

@ Thinkfast hippie2, while it might be lazy for you or your opinion.  It is sound advice which will make any player go the distance as they will be well equipped/prepared for what the game throws at them.

instead of trying to discredit others  or in this case myself, shouldn't you have input your expertise on the matter?
