Syndicate Weaps & Lenses

I just wonna know if syndicate explosions from syndicate sidearms/primaries earns focus. I wonna put one my Sancti Tigris. When the effect goes off & kills targets. Its considered a weapon kill right? Meaning the exp it gained goes to the weapon right? Stupid question I know but I had to ask it. Lol

I read that it counts as a Warframe kill.

 

Yes, syndicate procs will earn focus if you have a lens equipped on the weapon. Whatever the syndicate proc kills counts as warframe kills.

Seriously? So technically speaking. Syndicate weapons are better paired with frames with greater lenses?

unless it was fixed, syndicate proc kills for me are bugged and do not warrant any focus/xp/kill count (did some missions without killing anything from weapon shot or sentinel, i know i killed at least 30 mobs with syndicate procs and left mission with 0 kills.
