So Titanfall 2 has been stated to release sometime in between April 2016 and March 2017.

The lead writer has stated that

"Respawn is doing its best to "deliver a vision of grand global colonial warfare retelling the story of the American Revolution and the American Civil War in space. We imagined the next generation of immigrants moving out to the new frontier of an inhabitable planet. Rather than taking a traditional sci-fi approach to that we wanted to look at how that would happen practically, what the ships would look like and with machines that were designed for excavation and construction, demolition and working the land, and what happens when they are turned into instruments of war."

“What inspires us is the junction of technological advancement with the inevitability of conflict and war and what the next war might look like. In Titanfall 2 there will be a lot of [scenes] where science meets magic, but keeping it grounded and dirty and human and real.”

While that's all nice and well...the only thing I care about is customizable mechs. If it isn't in Titanfall 2, then ya dun goofd up again.

Still wondering why people make sequels of bad/moderate games instead of improving existing one...

Because improvements are free. You cant make people pay for patches and fixes. Well, you can, but they wont be happy about it. And DLC are extremely unpopular. Only the "day one" sells are good, then sells go down by 120 degree slide with time.

So, making another "fresh" game is simply better.

Titanfall 2 will exist just to thwart its original content like CoD.

The thing about sequels in some games with an already incredible set of graphics is that they can be a little too redundant to play especially when you put Titanfall 1 to an already popular gameplay to work with, then make a sequel of the original game with little change (such as UI, maps and additional storyline).

It's like trading your old static cape with incredible good detail etched on it with a new, jiggle-boned cape with the copy-pasted texture strapped on it that tends to bug out.
