The prequel quest revealed lotus as a sentient The quests had bits of how the old war went down. It released the sentients by grineer being power hungry, just like they re-released the infestation in one of the early quests. It has shown us hunhow, who we're going to be fighting later on. It has shown us how we control the frames. Even in the Alad V cinematic YEARS ago showed there was no human in the frames when he pulled them apart and you can find that on youtube. What we dont know is; if we were inside the frames before the old war became. but then there's rhino primes codex, obviously wasnt human in the frame, it was something full of power and anger, and well.. ate a person. So MOST likely. The somatic link is to keep us alive, and from going mad. Stalker; might be in his frame since he's older than the old war and never went in cryosleep. or he may have a operator deep in the moon hidden. It's canon. Whether you choose to live with it or not is your choice. It's literally the story, and fits into things of the codex from long ago. You are really, the only one saying it's not.
