Archwing choice - your pick

So now that getting AW things is much easier what you found most useful?

There are roumours that Amesha is OP, is that true?

Fluctus gun make it easier to hit things, but Velocitus have interesting crit profile.

Centaur has best crit and is faster. But maybe other weapons have something more.

Whats your pick?

Itzal, becasue looting. With still good AoE especialy with the new freezing mod on its 3rd ability.

Dual Decurion because i like them and damge is not bad with corrosive damage.

Centaur becasue honestly i not like this overgrown weapons and each AW Melee feels like the other without difference so not really care.

Itzal is neo loki.  It lacks defense and hp, but they arn't things you will really need

Velocitus is a sniper.  You need to mod to manage the charge time, but its ammo regenerates at an unfathomable rate and it deals a large amount of damage per hit.  Its main disadvantage is that it isn't hitscan.  While it does have pinpoint precision, you need to compensate for the movement speed of the shot if you want to snipe something across the map. 

Centaur is currently the best archwing weapon in every way possible.  There really isn't any reason not to use it.

The new one with the defense bubble might be needed for making future events easier, much like Frost, but on a typical day I'm going to play Itzal and only Itzal because shwoop da loot.

Cyngas is accurate, ammo-efficient, hitscan and deals plenty of damage. I haven't seen a reason to use anything else so far. Might wait and see what the next AW event weapon is before I put more than 1-2 forma on it.

For melee I plan to stick to a sword. Kaszas and Knux animations were just too long for the speed of AW 2.0 but the swords felt good. Haven't looked at the damage of the melee weapons though. Still have some to level for mastery so I'm not up to where I'd pick what to be forma'ing yet.

My personal favorite is Itzal becuase of Blink, but the vortex is pretty nice for getting all the little bitty pieces of Archwing loot you might will probably miss otherwise.

As for weapons, I prefer the Imperator Vandal (if you can get it from a Fomorian invasion) or the Fluctus (because lol punch through). Word on the streets is Cyngas is pretty good too, but I have yet to get the stock off someone.

The Amesha is nearly indestructible with its massive health pool, high armor, and damage mitigation and healing abilities.

The Itzal is a great all-round Archwing that has some of everything. Blink gives it mobility and missile evasion. Penumbra is a good emergency button and lets you revive, scan, or snipe in peace. Cosmic Crush pulls in loot and can freeze enemies with the new augment. Fighter Escort draws aggro away from you and does okay damage.

 

The Fluctus, Velocitus, Grattler, and Imperator Vandal are typically regarded to be the top crowd in Arch-guns. The Fluctus specializes in taking out groups of enemies. The Velocitus is a space-Lanka without the scope sway. The Grattler's high critical chance and automatic fire allows it to utterly demolish tough targets (like the Jordas Golem), especially with the boost from the Odonata's Energy Shell. The Imperator Vandal is your all-purpose automatic that performs well in any situation.

I've actually taken a liking to the new Cyngas, which is perfectly capable of competing against the Imperator Vandal as an all-purpose weapon.

The Centaur is the best Arch-melee, but to be perfectly fair, there isn't enough of a difference between Arch-melee weapons for it to truly matter.

Everything Inarticulate stated above.  I swear I think he named himself that as a joke as he's very articulate in this forum.  :D

My person favorites are the Itzal, Grattler, and Kaszas.  I just really like the scythe.  I saw a video by AGGP on the Cyngas.  He showed it to be a very capable weapon.  It might be my new primary of choice.
