Gear Wheel

How do you know which Fbutton the gear is in.  Im confused cause its always so random.  Sometimes the codex scanner is F2 and spector is F7 and then other times its other numbers.?  Do i have to gear up every mission or do i just push the Fbuttons - somtimes none work

The top middle one is the first one, then it goes clockwise direction 2,3,4 etc..

Just map the keys in setting.

They go clockwise in the gear wheel, you probably need to check the configuration in the control configuration menu, I configured my wheel on the Numbers pad.
