Does The Vaykor Sydon Have A Hidden Passive?

Right chaps, I might be barking up the wrong tree here, or possibly ignorant of something which everyone else already knew, but I think the Vaykor Sydon has the hidden passive of autoblocking knockdowns while sprinting.

 

Now, that's not especially useful, I will admit, because it's not the same thing as immunity to knockdowns. It just automatically goes into the parry animation if you're hit by a knockdown effect while sprinting towards the source of the effect. Try it in simulacrum.

the passive is a 50% knockdown resistance which, like power drift, when triggered plays the block animation instead of knocking you down.

The effect of blocking should provide a brief period of increasing resistance if you manage to block attacks in sequence, channeling should convert energy to shields to bolster the effect, but that's just my opinion on blocking and fails to correlate to this 'hidden passive'.

Another one of those is Loki's increased base speed stat.

And I believe the Lecta has 50% faster finisher animations that is not listed either... (yay?)

Cool.

The question is though.... if all its passive is all about blocking, why is the Sydon chosen over the Ack and Brunt?

You would think these blocking passive would pair well with shields, but nooooo of course not. /shrug
