StuffedTurkey007
Back when invasions used to be 5 missions to complete, this made sense. When it was reduced to 3 missions, I assume it was an oversight that the death mark requirements were not changed. I believe a change is overdue. Doing 5 invasions is... awkward. taiiat
uhm, i don't recall any change from these Marks being Random as they always have been to from a fixed number of Invasion Missions. i.e. i'm pretty sure it's still Random on each Mission run. Aurea_Hiigara
Nope, it's after five consecutive missions for either the Corpus or Grineer in their Siege/Invasion events. You can keep doing a mission that you've already gotten to 3/3, though, if you really want the mark fast.

[Citation Needed] ? evidence supports it may be a fixed number of Missions, but also that consecutive is not necessary.
MystMan
I also believe it is random after each run. I have gotten the email threat after the first, second or third run. And sometimes not at all. There is no visible pattern. I stop at 3 if I didn't get the death mark, I don't really need them.
Aurea_Hiigara
Keep in mind it isn't necessarily doing five in the same mission. If you've done a full 3/3, then do another 2 a week later in a different mission that adds up to 5, so you get the mark. Then you do the boss fight, do the last mission for 3/3 in the mission from before. Then a 3/3 elsewhere, then 1/3 a few days later ... See how it goes? It is easy to test, though. Run one Corpus support mission, then start supporting only Grineer. Count how many missions you do until you get the mark. Clear the mark, start counting again and so on. I assure you, the number is five.
MystMan
Ok, that explains everything. It all makes sense now. Thanks for the clarification.
Chipputer
I assume it was left at 5 because they just didn't think about it. It doesn't bother me either way, as someone who already has Brakk and Detron finished, but I could see how it would confuse and/or bother someone who needs the death marks.
