Not that I know of. Unless I'm mistaken the only way to get a Synthesis scan on a target is to actually scan the nodes on the target itself with the gear item. 

Besides, if you kill the target you don't get the Simaris Standing at all.

i can say with fairly high confidence that would be a no.

unless you Kill the Target after you've scanned the nodes and it starts disintegrating!
then you can get dat phat XP from Killing it and get the Points too.

Regular kills with the synoid helicor, or the normal helicor do not give simiris rep, much like helios won't give simiris rep.
