Penta Build

Hi recently got a penta riven mod but no clue how to build penta currently I got the riven mod for fire speed and recoil, but am prepared to re-roll alot to get a good one for it.

Reroll. Penta is a Launcher, meaning it does a lot of Blast. It has both 10% for Status and Crit. You SHOULD build heavily for Status, but throw some stuff for Crit in there to improve the overall damage. I recommend adding Corrosive (Toxin and Electricity) to the mix.

Also make sure to put that riven inside the SECURA PENTA, not the base one.

In that case he has no other way than wasting formas and a cata on the penta as a placeholder while he farms akkad until MR12+.

I did that lots of time.. it hurts a lot to sell weapons/warframes with formas and potatoes in it, but it's a necessary evil.

Never did Akkad, I only use Oceanum and Hieracon for Leveling Purposes. But yes, until MR 12 or the OP says otherwise, i'm assuming he's talking about the Base Penta.

omg i can put the riven mod in Secura penta aswell ? does this work for things such as putting a cernos riven in a rakta cernos?

Cernos Can go on Rakta Cernos and Cernos Prime, Simulor can go on Synoid, Tigris can go on Sancti and Prime so on. As long as it's not a variation of the weapon (i.e Mutalist Cernos cannot go on Rakta Cernos or Cernos Prime)

Tether Grenades

Get it nao.

Not only does it provide mini-Vortex CC happy fun times,
this one Mod (Grineer hate it) also makes Penta deal zero self-damage.
It's a complete gamechanger.

FWIW, my build:

Serration, Heavy Caliber
Stormbringer, Infected Clip
Split Chamber, Riven (just +Damage & +Cold currently)
Firestorm, Tether Grenades

FYI, while Multishot is great on almost all weapons,
it's actually a hindrance if you want to cover more of the map in (tether) traps
as the MS-generated grenades sadly do count towards the 5 active 'nades limit.
I usually detonate my grenades soon enough that the limit isn't a problem but YMMV.

Tether Grenades makes Penta safer and grants ability to hold Choke points

Very great for leveling a Warframe or using Non-CC abilities

As your playstyle preference may vary: I suggest obtaining Tether Grenades and giving it a go.

You may want to roll + Multi-shot on Riven  and just be content with only having 2 Tether Choke points.

 

If you want the ability to place 5 Grenades:

Don't use Multi-shot and just roll Damage, Elementals, and possibly Status chance. (Crit damage or Maxium Ammo are also nice bonuses)

 

Avoid negative %Multi-shot at all costs...You'll fire blanks
