How does over 100% crit chance work?

Note that there's multiple layers of red crits possible if you exceed 2-300%, doubling your multiplier with each layer. 

 

Status in contrary does NOT give you a chance for multiple status chances. (just to get that one out of the way.)

100%+ gives you a double red crits
so 101% has a 1% chance of giving you a red crit =o

The extra gives a chance of Red Crits which increases the crit multiplier to one less than double it's normal value.  e.g. a 125% crit chance with a x4 multiplier will always give at least x4 but 25% of the time will give x7 (4x2-1).
