Question

So a few days ago I downloaded Warframe on my Xbox One and I made it to MR4. Now...

Question 1: I feel like my weapons are very weak right now as I am playin, I made it to Ceres where I have a difficult time in certain situations. What Primary, Secondary, and Melee weapons would be good for an MK4? right now I use Karak(lvl 30), Furis(lvl 25), and Plasma Sword(lvl 19). My character is also a lvl 30 Mag. Any easy recommendations? I am working on Prime stuff but it isn't easy lol.

Question 2: Is Warframe Cross-Platform? in the chat I see people typing really quick compared to how I type on the Xbox lol

If you have any other newbie advice let me know =)

1. Your weapons can work as a starter level. Level them up for mastery and get better gear as you progress. At your level, mods are more importan than the weapons. Rank up mods will help you a lot. As for your Warframe, I would recommend getting Rhino. You can get Rhino parts from farming the Venus boss. You can buy the blueprint from the market for credits. He is a solid tank and great for beginners.

2. Warframe is sadly not cross-play. Some people have those mini-keyboards attached to their controllers.

1) are you using mods on your weapons?  That's super important    I hesitate to suggest weapons because mileage varies based on the type of player you are.  Prime stuff gets easier because you accure tons of relics from just playing the game, the same can be said for most resources.  It gets easier

2) No, lol as much as many wish it is not cross platform. Those pple typing fast either have the pad that attaches to the controller, are using Xbox  smart glass very well or are just fast.

Big suggestion: either join a clan with helpful members and/or make some friends in the community who are knowledgable who you can ask questions of.  Because you will have lots of questions.

Q2: No, some people use keyboards

Q1: Your issue may not be the weapons as much as it is the mods and their levels. The karak is far from the best weapon in game, but modded right it can clear the starchart.

Primary: Hek, Sobek, Gorgon, Grakata, Boltor, Kohm and attica are all good early weapons

Secondary: Akstietto, akmagnus, aklex, atamos and sonicor

Melee: Most melee can get the job done with the mod stock there is in the category. Being that new, most of those mods won't be available to you unless you have some platinum. But Dual Ichor, Galatine, anku, tipedo and tonbo are all fun.

I know that some of these may be out of your crafting capabilities at the moment but none of them are too ridiculous iirc

1) Rank up your weapon mods.  This will help them do more damage, increase status and crit, etc. If you're curious about which damage types are most effective against certain factions, you can check the wiki page.

Don't worry about your weapons too much.  With how fast you rank them up, you'll be blowing through several.  Main thing is, don't use a forma or catalyst unless you're certain you want to keep the weapon.  You'll be better off focusing on your mods. Here's a link to the wiki page, it has detailed info and drop location information - http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mods_2.0

Mag can be a great Warframe.  I suggest you focus on her Duration, Range and dropping Redirection on her.  If you want, post a list of your mods and I'll see if I can whip up a Mag build with what you have.

This is a good resource to experiment with - http://warframe-builder.com/

2) Sadly, no.

In regards to your weapons damage output make sure that you are making levelling your mods a priority. The most important ones at first would be Serration, Point Blank, Hornets Strike and Pressure Point, which provide base damage increases for Rifles, (including bows and launchers) Shotguns, Secondarys and Melee respectively. After this 'multishot' mods such as Split Chamber and your critical chance & damage mods are going to provide another big damage increase and lastly remember to make use of the elemental damage mods as these will generally expose the biggest weakness in enemies. Don't worry about maxing a mod out to rank 10 immediately as the last couple of ranks have a big credit and endo cost, however getting to rank 8 is relatively cheap, you can take your time levelling them up further than that as 8 should be sufficient to take you well into, and past the start chart missions.

As for weapons I always suggest new players get either a Lex or Sonicor as a secondary weapon as they are both very good weapons that will easily last all the way through the star chart and then some. The Lex is a high damage and very accurate single shot pistol and the Sonicor a fairly close range projectile weapon that will rag-doll enemies all over the map. As a Primary my starting weapon of choice was the Boltor, which I used for a very long time and for melee the Orthos is a great choice. Obviously these are my prefernces so my suggestion would be to play around with as many weapon types as you can a find the ones that you enjoy the most.

Finally no, it isnt cross platform, people are able to type quickly through either a USB keyboard plugged into their Xbox or via the Xbox Smartglass app which you can download onto your smartphone and/or tablet. If you have Windows 10 on your PC/Laptop then I presume there would be a way to type via that but I'm not certain on this method.

P.S If you haven't already joining a clan is a great way to help you get started as there are usually a few experienced players who will be able to help you out if you get stuck with any quests or missions, and it is a great way to find new friends to play with.

Hope this helps :)

To answer people about the Mods. I do have mods on my stuff and frame. I will try for Rhino, I made it up to Jupiter but haven't started there yet.

Mods right now: Mag has Vitality with a few ranks in, Shield Recharge Rate, Increased Shield Health and I think power damage increase.

Karak has Crit, Reload Speed, Damage, and something else I don't remember.

I am currently waiting for a few things to be built that are working at the moment, one is Bolter and a two-handed sword Gram. I got my Plasma Sword through an Alert and the only mods it has is Attack Speed since its slow and Damage.

I think all of those have a broken variant, you should already have them, and are cheaper to rank up.  Drop them on your Mag, it'll help her survivability.  Her Magnetize ability is powerful, I would suggest using it often.  It's damage multiplier is tied to your power strength, and you can have 4 up at a time.  Pump enough ammo into them, and when it explodes, it'll take out or severely damage most things nearby.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Karak

It has a low Crit chance, but high status.  I'd suggest picking up an elemental mod or two for it.  For Corrupted (since you said you're grinding out Primes) IIRC you want Corrosive damage, which is Electricity and Toxin.

Hek, just Toxin damage would serve you well.

Rhino is a solid Warframe.  His Stomp is good CC and has a great team support potential with his Roar.  Sadly, I can't think of the last time I equipped him, so I don't know any good modding tips.

In order to unlock this quest, the player must complete the Pluto/Sedna Junction. Upon completion, the player will be awarded with the Hidden Messages blueprint.

She's not a bad Warframe.  You've got some grinding ahead of you, in order to open the Lua tileset, you have to complete a random encounter quest on Uranus.

Its not really random encounter. I got those blue jellyfish every time I do a capture mission.

How often do you play normal capture missions on uranus ?

Fairly often, and not just capture.  I run new players through and some people actively looking to start the Natah quest.

I've had the most luck finding them on either mobile defense or exterminate.

Wait why are you looking for them ? You have already done the second dream right ?

Yes, but I help new players with their junction requirements, general clean out and sometimes specifically to start the Natah quest.

I had the quest done within the first week it was available.

I've just run out of things to do, so I wind up rerunning the first half of the star chart, helping people get stuff done.

Maybe you're not just finding them?

I dont get the flicker either.

So either they just aren't spawning for me, or my settings are wonky (even though they're stock) and I cant see the flicker telling me to look for them.

Maybe since you did the quest they wont spawn for you. They spawned for me every time I did a capture with a new player to help them with the quest ( over 10 times )

I'm primarily running with players that haven't run the quest yet.

I'll see if I can dig up the thread where someone said they spent a couple weeks trying to get one of these to spawn.  She and I sound up meeting in game and spammed the entire planet for a day to get one of the things to spawn.

Trying to remember their users name to find the topic.
