I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

• Rounds are on Wednesdays
  • Everyone gets one, if I can.
  • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
  • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
  • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
• No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.
• If you have a particular section of the song in mind then make sure you mention it.
• Please don't PM me with requests.  Just leave it on the thread and I'll get to it when I can. 
• "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.
• I don't really take Shawzin requests; not enough time and something had to give.

Q : Octavia Prime is vaulted, how do I get the Bombast instrument set?
A: You don't, not until Octavia returns with the Prime Vault.  In the meantime, substitute these:

• Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
• Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
• Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

Actually, now that I've listened closely to their version and the original, the verse is wrong.  To be accurate you would have to start on the lowest Mandachord note and go *down* from there, or add a sixth note above the other five.  

Their version of the verse still sounds good on its own, but as a music snob it's not technically correct for me.  So I would just stick with the chorus :)

Welcome!  If you're getting into transposing stuff to Mandachord I gotta warn you:  Be prepared to be disappointed

Thanks.  Yeah, from a cursory glance through a selection of my collection, I'm getting that distinct impression.    But, I've run into a few pieces that are in the right key, and will need to see if I can get it to fit down to a pentatonic scale.  I've already set aside most of my middle eastern stuff, as there's no way the poor Mandachord would even know what to do with a maqam.

Yeah, you're not going to be doing neutral seconds, but subsets of its scales do appear to fit into the pentatonic.

A good number of the maqam have enough range and variation in them that they would work semi well.

No, not at all.  :)  I've got three piles so far: "YES!" "Wrong Key, but do-able" and "Uh, no"   But, since this is my first time looking at this, I've only been playing since a bit before thanksgiving, and just got Octavia a week or so ago... well, I'm gonna go for that low-hanging fruit. :D
