SasoDuck
Edit: Old-style sabotage, which still shows up in many places. The reactor meltdown should not be present for sabotage missions with a special objective, such as syndicate medallion missions or kuva siphons or fissures. It's really frustrating when you haven't found all the syndicate medallions, or the kuva is further along the mission, or you haven't picked up all your reactant, but you can't progress through the rest of the tileset without destroying the reactor and potentially causing a meltdown. Then if a meltdown occurs, you have 5 frantic minutes to try and finish collecting the medallions, or get to and complete the kuva siphon, or whatever the alternate objective is. I bring this up because the other day, there was a kuva flood where the siphon hadn't spawned on the near side of the reactor, so we had to blow it up to progress, and then it started a meltdown and we tried desperately to find the siphon before the 5 minutes were up. The tileset was huge and we finally got to the siphon at 0:30 left before mission failure, no time to actually complete the siphon. I tried to get back to extraction to at least not fail the mission, but I couldn't get there in time and we lost the nice ayatan statue we found earlier in the mission. It really kinda sucked. So in short, please disable reactor meltdowns on any sabotage mission with a special objective. Thanks. Edited May 28, 2017 by SasoDuck
Chipputer
Yeah, either disable it or make every special sabotage only be Sabotage 2.0 so you can at least choose to not blow the reactor (and, consequently, the misson) up.
Ikusias
Was old style sabotage or sabotage 2.0? In the second case avoiding reinserting the fuel cell into the reactor leads to 2 alternative sabotages that don't cause meltdown: - fuel cell in coolant system causes magnetic instabilities and needs only that no alarms are raised during countdown, no enemy attack - coolant cell in reactor freezes the map and requires defending the reactor room from waves of enemies

Magnar21
Yeah, don't do the heat overload if you actually want to do the secondary objective.
SasoDuck
I am fully aware of the different modes of Sab 2.0 I'm talking about old sab, which still exists in a lot of locations.
Ikusias
Ouch not much to do in that specific case - had it happen today and wasn't much fun
