Questions about formas

I know what is basically a forma, it let you change the polarity of slots for mods for any weapon.

BUT what I don´t know is if formas actually make your weapon stronger for every forma you add, I mean, not take in counts mods, the weapon itself, without mods, does it get more powerful with every forma I add?

Do formas makes the weapons stronger by adding more and more formas?

Please don´t take in count mods, I only have a confusion about if formas makes literally your weapon stronger by adding more and more formas to that item.

Example of what I think formas do to the weapon:

A- Tonkor (0 formas) (0 mods):

Rank 1: 100 damage.

Rank 30: 1000 damage.

B- Tonkor (6 formas) (0 mods):

Rank 1: 300 damage.

Rank 30: 3000 damage.

Do formas make that way weapons stronger?

Do anything (Forma, Orokin Catalysts, Orokin Reactors) make the weapon stronger by that way?

each forma half cost of mod in slot... mod of 16 points will take u only 8 points if match polarity

Forma and Catalysts do not make the weapon stronger by themselves.  They just let you add more mods, which will make it stronger.

No it does not, it only adds/removes/changes polarities. Catalysts and Reactors only double the mod capacity. Nothing besides mods makes weapons numerically stronger.

but they open the possibility for you to use more costly mods... or upgraded mods

 

doesn't matter if you put 365 Forma in your Lato, it will not deal more than its basic damage without mods or warframe buffs

I can tell you this, is dead wrong. All formas and catalysts/reactors do is make it possible to put in more/stronger mods. For example, my sybaris prime. Without any formas or catalysts, the way i have it setup, I'd only be able to fit the first 2 mods(The first 4 alone take 61 mod capacity without any matching polarities). 6 formas later, I can put in all 8 mods, which in turn, make it a stronger weapon.

Formas have no effect on the base stats of your weapons/frames whatsoever, they only indirectly buff them by decreasing the cost of slotted mods and ergo allowing you to fit more/stronger mods onto them.

Rank also doesn't increase damage rank 1 or 30 it does the same damage. Not sure if you knew that.

^ This. Ranking "only" gives you more capacity with weapons. Warframes though becomes more "stronger" with leveling, gaining more shield/health/energy, but weapons don't.

Its all about the mods and builds in Warframe. The more mods you can put the more powerful it becomes. Forma is only way you can fit in more, otherwise it does nothing. 

A 6 forma weapon with no mods = Weapon with 0 forma and no mods
