My UnUnveilable Riven

So one of the riven mods I got recently seems simple enough, these are the requirements, maintain a 3x combo multiplier for 30 seconds with an active pet present. So I equipped Fluffles the kavat and went off to Hieracon with the riven equipped. I acheived a combo multplier of 3x and maintained it for longer than 30 seconds with Fluffles present, and nothing.

Does anyone know why this might've happened and how I could successfully unveil this riven?

 

 

Edit: Yes, I equipped the riven, it said active companion, none specified.

Double check the additional modifier. Did is say "sentinel", "kubrow" or "kavat"?

Is the riven for primary/secondary-weapon? Once got this challenge for a rifle-riven and had to run around with my rifle, maintaining the multiplier with quick-melee.

downing a capture target and continuing to hit them till you get the 3x multiplier is the easiest way. just do it on a low level planet so your pet doesn't get killed

Just checking, but did you remember to EQUIP the Riven?
