Almagnus1 Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 I'm not sure who came up with the idea to have the Plague Star routes cover like 3k (as several have, but here's how DE should have done them: Pick a drone Pick a mixing trailer that's within 500m of the drone (or closest one if there are no available destinations) Pick a cave within 500m of the trailer (or closest one if there are no available destinations) That way, we only have to hike out to the toxin, and we're not crisscrossing the plains because the mission planner decides to make things difficult because reasons. Kalvorax Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) the ONLY thing I have seen all this traveling for is that it enforces WHY we need an infinite charge for AW launchers...Ive only seen ONE stream get a set bounty where it was literally all within 500m of the boil.....total...none of this crisscrossing the plains for no good reason.... As it stands now, i do 4 hemocysts BECAUSE i want it to feel worthwhile doing the crazy 2km runs....especially the 1k (USELESS...as we are ALREADY carrying the toxin in the first place) escort (which we HAVE to be within 30 meters of the drone to get it moving (really DE......) Oreades Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Yeah it really feels like they where trying to tie porkchops around the AW launchers so the Warframes would play with them. If it wasn't for the bosses (that where inexplicably locked behind 24hrs of clan research) I probably wouldn't have given the event another chance after the first day. Every once in a great while I get a good spawn (~500m dash) and for a second think "Oh wow maybe they finally realized that this was miserable and fixed it" and like clockwork the next leg of the event is like 2kmeters away. The only thing this event has really done is made me resent the launchers more than I did before. I mean I guess I have to give them that I use my AW more regularly as an Uber from the Boil to the Gate ..... but that's about as much as I used my AW before anyhow...... I flat out refuse to use them between the bounty nodes. If that means that the mixer is already halfway done before I get there then so be it. I was actually going to go hit up the event this morning, loaded up the game and thought about the travel times for a minute or so...... then quit out of the game. Which is really kinda sad because sans those travel times the event isn't that bad and the boss segment of it is actually pretty enjoyable.
