Riven requirment clarification needed

The Riven I want o Unveil has the requirement to kill 40 enemies with Finishers without dying or becoming downed.

It's the underlined portion I am unclear on. Does this mean getting downed to need a Revive, or does it mean simply being knocked down as in charging attacks, and if the knockdown qualifies as "downed" does being hooked by Ancients count to that?

Means Downed as in needing to be Revived.
