Why is Venus snowy?

Venus should be a rocky planet covered by a cloudy layer of gas.

Would be cool for Warframes to install a part in them that gives them immunity to toxic gases prevalent in Venus. Going through a cloudy planet would look really cool, obviously something would change later on so the gases are mostly gone so we can see. :P

Cos the orokin have towers that change the climate, if you ever notice those black orokin towers in the horizon, that’s what they are

i have no idea. it just is.

venus is said to be terraformed, but that doesnt explain why they would choose cold and snowy climate over a perfect climate.

I assume some Orokin Councilor was like: Venus is too hot, cool it down! Then his slave engineers setup an automated terraforming process that went awry after functioning unchecked long after the Orokin got wiped out resulting in massive cryotic deposits all over the place.

Shame as it means Warframe might never gain a fully lava planet. Asteroid doesn't count.

Heard somewhere, that Corpus built its outposts in the mountains for some reason and that's the only places of interest for tenno on the Venus.
