Potential fix for 'update failed' in Sacrifice update

First Download the VPN of your choice

for me its hide.me

Secondly, open it and change the location of it to a Canadian/American IP (Don't know if other countries work as well)

Then you enable it

After that, you simply start warframe (I recommend downloading everything and once you see it failed and THEN close warframe and do the VPN thing since hide.me have data limit)

After the update is done click CANCEL when prompted on optimizing. Once you are able to log in to the game, exit, disable the vpn and start the optimization if you want.

It's Canada or America, coz in free version you have only few countries to choose from.

BTW for Poland it work fine with Canada.

How about DE #*!%ing fix their S#&$ instead of us having to go and search for weird #*!%ing workarounds for the most #*!%ing basic S#&$. This is so #*!%ing frustrating. I love DE but holy #*!%ing #*!%... get your S#&$ together.

 

It also worked for me with different vpn and just using my own country ( Poland ), just different city? No idea what was it needed for the last 12 KB of patch or something. Seriously utterly ridiculous. Mad props Apperu, you should get paid by DE for this.

My goodness! I didn't stumble upon this strange fix any earlier :( I set the launcher to 32 bit (which worked) and now its support is ending. I hope I do not run into update failed error again but I'd surely try VPN. I already use Softether VPN client manager to connect to canada/EU regions for the sake of playing certain region locked games. Thank you in advance

Worked but after I quit the game and turn off the hideme. It's still showing update failed! So yea, end of warframe for me I think.
